In 1983 he graduated from the journalism department of the Tbilisi State University. His first play AT MIDNIGHT was published in the magazine Khelovneba (Art) in 1985. The author traces the family life over two centuries, depicting its representatives in diversified situations, impelling them to act under completely different circumstances. There are real historical figures in the novel, such as Akhmed Pasha, Khrushchev, Orjonikidze and many others, but the narrative focuses around the Bagars. We meet the first Bagar in 1800, while the last one lives in Tbilisi in 2000, working as a supervisor of the city clearing service.
