FOLK-ROCK BAND HERMITAGE GREEN RELEASE NEW SINGLE TITLED ‘LAKE WINNIPESAUKEE’ (For Release: Friday, June 5, 2020) Today, folk-rock band Hermitage Green have released their latest single Lake Winnipesaukee, a track that is deeply personal, intertwining childhood memories with the perspective of those memories as an adult. Hermitage Green is sending out the message that ‘every day can become an incredible memory’ so make the best of it. The single is now available across all streaming platforms and can be heard here. “Lake Winnipesaukee is a song about looking back at a memory in your life and realizing it is there because you were so present and so full of life when it happened that it is etched in your memory forever,” said Barry Murphy. The track was written in 2018 when the band returned home after their North American tour where they had spent a few days at Lake Winnipesaukee in between Boston and New York gigs. Barry and Dan Murphy have an aunt and uncle that live on Lake Winnipesaukee and the brothers had visited the lake twice during childhood, but had not been back in over 20 years. While visiting as adults it brought back a flood of memories and allowed them to see it from a very different perspective. Spending time there, hearing their Uncle’s stories about growing up on the lake and seeing it from his perspective, made them realize that everyone has special places like Lake Winnipesaukee in their life. “We can make any moment in our lives special and beautiful by opening our eyes, ears and minds to the constant beauty of the world around us. Every day can become an incredible memory to look back on and smile. Be good, be kind, be at peace with your mind,” added Barry. Hermitage Green has been touring sold-out shows right across the globe, entertaining fans with their epic performance and irresistible stage presence throughout the Middle East, Australia, North America, United Kingdom and Ireland. Selling out iconic music venues and performing for thousands of people at some of the biggest festivals, this five piece folk-rock band has had the chance to share the stage with incredible artists such as Lewis Capaldi, Bastille, Two Door Cinema Club, Tom Odell, Gavin James, Sigrid, The Trews and others.
