Welcome to the 37th Leamington Peace Festival. We hope you enjoy a fantastic weekend of activities, music, peace talks, food and crafts with us! With a new layout, diverse workshops, Peace talks, a bigger childrens’ area, a plethora of food and craft stalls, and a musical line-up to get your feet moving, the Peace Festival 2015 has something for everyone. Now in our 37th year, and having seen many changes in the world around us, we would like to emphasise the real motivation behind the Peace Festival... “If someone thinks that peace and love are just a cliché that must have been left behind in the 60s, that's a problem. Peace and love are eternal.” -John Lennon At the Peace Festival we believe that peace is achieved primarily through understanding. An understanding and a compassion that encompass not only those people that look and think like you, but everyone, regardless of colour, faith, age or status. This year at the festival we have a challenge for you. That challenge is to participate. Participate in our workshops, dance to our music, shop at our stalls and align yourself with the other festival-goers you see around you. Participate in a peaceful weekend that unites people from all walks of life, and be inspired by what you see and hear to take that wisdom home with you. Peace begins with a smile... so smile and share your enjoyment of the Peace Festival with everyone. We want the Peace Festival to continue. If you do too then perhaps you can help us, and become a member of our organising committee, play at the Peace Festival next year or just contribute an idea or two? Contact us: [email protected].
