It is one of the Municipalities of Havana City, it has an extension of 134, 2 m 2 with a population of 187006 inhabitants. It limits at North with Cerro Municipality to the South with the Municipalities of Bejucal and San Antonio de los Baños of Havana Province , To the East with Arroyo Naranjo Municipality and to the West with Marianao and La Lisa Municipalities. This is a Municipality very rich in history and traditions. To get closer to them, especially to the history of the development of Public Health is very important because memory is one of the essential sources for values formation and they identify the members of a nation, especially to its younger members. That is why these notes to the history of Public Health of the Boyeros Municipality will refer to the most important events from the Colonial stage, up to date.
