The Speaker took the Chair, read the prayer and acknowledged the traditional owners, thanking them for their custodianship of country. 2 MINISTERIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS (1) Mr Anthony Roberts, on behalf of Mr Mike Baird, informed the House that on 17 April 2014, the Honourable Barry Robert O’Farrell submitted his resignation as Premier to Her Excellency the Governor. Her Excellency then commissioned the Honourable Michael Bruce Baird to form a new Ministry. On the same day Michael Bruce Baird was sworn as a member of the Executive Council and as Premier, Andrew John Stoner was sworn as a member of the Executive Council and as Deputy Premier, Gladys Berejiklian was sworn as a member of the Executive Council and as Minister for Transport, and Adrian Piccoli was sworn as a member of the Executive Council and as Minister for Education. Members and officers stood as a mark of respect. 12 DEPUTY SERJEANT-AT-ARMS The Speaker announced that Cheryl Joy Samuels had been appointed Deputy Serjeant-at-Arms on and from 14 April 2014. 13 EDITOR OF DEBATES The Speaker announced that Scott Fuller had been appointed Editor of Debates on and from 23 April 2014. 14 MINISTERIAL ARRANGEMENT Mr Mike Baird informed the House that the Attorney General, and Minister for Justice would answer questions today on Police and Emergency Services, Industrial Relations, and the Central Coast. 15 PARLIAMENTARY CONTRIBUTORY SUPERANNUATION FUND TRUSTEES Mr Anthony Roberts moved, That in accordance with section 14 (1) (b) of the Parliamentary Contributory Superannuation Act 1971, Bradley Ronald Hazzard be appointed as a trustee of the Parliamentary Contributory Superannuation Fund in place of George Souris.
