Ø Sponsored a Concert series, “Music at the Beach” at the Legion bandstand that showcased local talent. These events were each attended by hundreds of people and we have just approved expanding the series to 6 concerts this summer. Ø The Town saw a considerable change in regards to the winter parking ban. We appointed a special Winter Parking Ban Task Force in 2016 to study various ways to improve the Town’s Winter Parking Ban process. It was recommended to the Selectmen that the Police Chief and the DPW Director, in conjunction with the Town Administrator’s office, would call for a parking ban when there is a snow storm to occur. Once a parking ban is called, all residents who have signed up with the Code Red System will be notified by phone and/or text message and through many social media outlets, including our town Facebook pages and town website.
