‘CHASING A DREAM’ CAST BIOS TREAT WILLIAMS (Gary Stiles) - Treat Williams has spent nearly three decades in the entertainment limelight, with a career that spans film, stage and television. The versatile actor has earned three Golden Globe nominations (“Hair,” “Prince of the City,” “A Streetcar Named Desire”). He also received an Emmy® nomination for his role in HBO’s “The Late Shift.” Williams’ countless film credits include Steve Spielberg’s “1941,” “Smooth Talk,” “Dead Heat,” “Heart of Dixie,” “Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead,” “Mulholland Falls,” “The Phantom,” “Devil’s Own,” “The Deep End of the Ocean” opposite Michelle Pfeiffer, Woody Allen’s “Hollywood Ending” and “What Happens in Vegas” with Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz. Williams may be best known for his role as New York neurosurgeon Dr. Andrew Brown, who moved his family to rural Colorado in the WB series “Everwood.” The part garnered Williams two Screen Actors Guild award nominations for Outstanding Performance in a Drama Series. Williams also starred as a surgeon on TNT’s 2007 series “Heartland,” set in a Pittsburgh transplant hospital. Williams’ Broadway roles range from Stephen Sondheim’s Follies to Grease and Pirates of Penzance. He recently received critical acclaim for his starring role in the Lifetime film “The Staircase Murders,” and has also guest-starred on the ABC series “Brothers and Sisters” as Sally Field’s love interest. An aviation buff who has long held a pilot’s license, Connecticut native Williams lives in Utah with his wife and two children. ### JOANNA GOING (Diana Stiles) -- Joanna Going first enjoyed acting success in the 1980s, making her mark on the world of network daytime dramas. She gained critical attention for her role as Lisa Grady on “Another World,” a part she played for two years. She also starred in the TV series “Dark Shadows,” for which she received a Soap Opera Digest award nomination. The 1880s house that was her childhood home is now a museum. Going is married to actor Dylan Walsh. The couple has a daughter, five-year-old Stella Haven Walsh. # # # ANDREW LAWRENCE (Cam Stiles) -- With a passion for music and a penchant for drama, Andrew Lawrence has long demonstrated his range in films, television and voiceover work. Lawrence first appeared on TV in an episode of NBC’s series “Blossom” at age three. He drew critics’ praise for his role as a blind teenage wrestler in “Going to the Mat,” and later displayed a lighter touch in “Oliver Beene,” and “The Other Me.” Lawrence has starred on NBC’s “Brotherly Love,” on comedian Tom Arnold’s CBS series “Tom” and can currently be seen on Showtime’s “United States of Tara.” Lawrence, a native of Philadelphia, played the son of John Travolta’s character in the theatrical film “White Man’s Burden,” and the son of Michael Keaton’s character in “Jack Frost.” He has guest starred on “Bones,” and his voice can be heard on the animated “King of the Hill” and “Lilo and Stitch: The Series.” He appears opposite Isaiah Washington in the forthcoming feature film “The Least of These,” and also stars in “Fingerprints,” a psychological thriller set in Texas. Lawrence, who studied at Sicily’s Guitar Institute at age 15, writes and performs his own songs. He is the younger, taller brother of actors Joey Lawrence and Matthew Lawrence. # # # DELPANO WILLS (Seneca Keflezi) - While Delpano Will’s parents are both from Sierra Leone, West Coast Africa, Wills was born in Omaha, Nebraska. At the age of seven, Wills moved with his family to West Africa and lived in the town of Kissy, a suburb of Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone. While his native tongue is English he soon learned to speak Krio, the national language and, out of necessity, also learned to speak conversational Temne, Limba and Mende. His grandfather by marriage, Siaka Stevens, served as president of Sierra Leone while Wills lived there. Because of the diamond conflicts, his family’s house in Kissy was burned to the ground, and at the age of 14, he moved back to America (Orange County, CA) with his immediate family and continued his passion for sports and drama. Wills still has many family members in Sierra Leone, and while English is his first language, he still speaks Krio at home with his parents. McLaughlin, whose army battalion was the first on the ground during the 2003 U.S. invasion of Baghdad, returned from his stint as infantryman to Chico, CA, with dreams of Hollywood. Instead, he faced the reality of supporting his family. McLaughlin worked pouring concrete, with plans to become a truck driver. But when a former neighbor told him that her boss, Oscar-winning director Paul Haggis, was seeking veterans to cast in a new film, Mclaughlin auditioned. He was rewarded with a key role in Haggis’s “In the Valley of Elah,” starring Tommy Lee Jones.
