Media release Thursday 6 November 2014 ANZIIF clocks up 10th win as Asia-Pacific’s insurance educator of the year The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) has been named Education Service Provider of the Year at the 18th Asia Insurance Industry Awards. The win was announced in Taipei, Taiwan, on Sunday, 2 November. This is the tenth year that ANZIIF has won the award (2002-2004, 2006, 2008-2011, 2013 and 2014), which recognises the provision of outstanding and continuous education and training services to the insurance and reinsurance industry in the Asia-Pacific region. “ANZIIF is thrilled to win Education Service Provider of the Year for the 10th time. We believe the award demonstrates our leadership in education provision throughout the Asia-Pacific and our commitment to adapting to the needs of the region’s insurance community” said ANZIIF CEO Prue Willsford. “Quality and relevance are the platform of our education and training services,” said Anton Barnett-Harris, General Manager, Education, Events and International. “Over the past year we have focused even more heavily on partnering with our customers to understand and respond to their needs, which are changing faster than we’ve ever seen before. This has led to the adoption of granular education and training opportunities that will enable the tailoring of learning and skills development to individual job roles. We have also launched our Members’ Centre, a major online learning and professional development platform to facilitate the ongoing learning of the region’s insurance professionals.” ANZIIF has members in 50 countries, largely from Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The distinguished judging panel for the awards was made up of 33 eminent leaders from around the world.
