A disagreement over land between the Native Americans and the colonists led to King Philip’s War. New England colonists relied heavily on imports from England. Imports are goods brought into a country. The Frame of Government of Pennsylvania is a primary source document example of self-government in the Middle Colonies. Philadelphia’s location was important for trade in the Middle colonies because it was on a good, navigable river. The population for the Middle colonies had a great deal of diversity, or differences in backgrounds of people. People in the Middle Colonies became artisans by training as apprentices.
