Stewards Summary of Judicial Outcomes, Update FINAL: issued Monday 18 September 2017 at 1800hrs. Matters from Race 2: Race Director Incident Determinations The RD investigated the incident involving Cars #14, #44 and #56 who were involved in an incident at Turn 3 on Lap 1 of Race 2 resulting in Car #44 and Car #56 making contact with the wall, the RD determined the matter did not warrant referral to the Stewards as no Driver was wholly or predominantly to blame for the Incident. The RD investigated the incident involving Car #18, Matt Chahda who was alleged to have passed Car #99 under Yellow Flags during Race 2, the RD determined the matter did not warrant referral to the Stewards as no breach of the rules was established. The RD investigated the incident involving a Team Member of Car #18 assisted in jump starting Car #18, Matt Chahda on the grid after the Formation Lap had begun in Breach of Rule D9.3., the RD determined the matter did not warrant referral to the Stewards. Stewards’ Decisions – Penalties imposed During the Race the Stewards imposed penalties: • Car #67, Anton de Pasquale Car - 5 secs added to Race time for a driving infringement. • Car #14, Macauley Jones Car - 5 secs added to Race time for a driving infringement. • Car #16, Shae Davies - 5 secs added to Race time for a driving infringement. • Car #1, Garry Jacobson – Pit Lane Penalty for a driving infringement. • Car #21, Jack Smith – Pit Lane Penalty for a driving infringement unable to be served during the Race and converted to a 26 seconds addition to Race time. Following a RD investigation and an admission of a breach of Schedule B2 Article 2.1 – Careless Driving by Car #18, Matt Chahda (made contact with Car #38, Will Brown, at Turn 4), the Stewards imposed a penalty of Five (5) Second Post Race Time Penalty added to the Race Time of Car #18 for Race 2. Following a RD investigation and an admission of a breach of Schedule B2 Article 2.2 – Reckless Driving by Car #26, Shae Davies (mading contact with Car #14, Macauley Jones at Turn 9 during Race 2), the Stewards imposed a Post-Race Pit Lane Penalty (26 Seconds) applied to the race time of Car #26 for Race 2. P a g e | 1 INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY – NO REGULATORY VALUE STEWARDS SUMMARY OF JUDICIAL OUTCOMES Matters from Race 2 Qualifying: Race Director Incident Determinations The RD investigated the incident involving Car #88 who was allegedly impeded by Car #15 and #35 between Turns 9 and 10 during Qualifying for Race 2, the RD determined the matter did not warrant referral to the Stewards as no breach of rules was established. Stewards’ Decisions – Penalties imposed No issues. Matters from Race 1: Race Director Incident Determinations The RD investigated the incident involving Car #4 and Car #67 making contact at Turn 8 during Race 1 at Round 6 of the 2017 Dunlop Super2 Series, resulting in Car #4 sustaining damage and not finishing the Race the RD determined the matter did not warrant referral to the Stewards as the Driver of Car #67 was not found to be wholly or predominately to blame for the incident. Stewards’ Decisions – Penalties imposed During the Race Stewards imposed PLPs on: • Car #1, Garry Jacobson - overtaking a Car prior to the Control Line at the end of the Safety Car deployment. • Car #16, Bryce Fullwood - for a Driving Infringement on N Morcom Car #54. During the Race Stewards imposed a penalty of 26 secs added to the Race time of J Smith Car #21 for overtaking another Car under a yellow flag. Matters from Race 1 Qualifying: Race Director Incident Determinations No issues Stewards’ Decisions – Penalties imposed Following a RD investigation and an admission of a breach of Schedule D3 Article 3.2 – Yellow Flag by Car #67, Anton DePasquale (failed to slow appropriately under Double Yellow Flags), the Stewards imposed a penalty of a Five (5) Progressive Grid Position Penalty for Race 1 on Car #67. Following a RD investigation and an admission of a breach of Schedule D3 Article 3.2 – Yellow Flag by Car #56, Jake Kostecki (failed to slow appropriately under Double Yellow Flags, with Car #56 departing the track in a Double Yellow Sector), the Stewards imposed a penalty of a Five (5) Progressive Grid Position Penalty for Race 1 on Car #56. In respect of late attendance at a compulsory Briefing Stewards imposed Fines of $250 each on Dragon Racing Car #98 and Andrew Jones Car #8. The Stewards imposed a Fine of $250 on M Chahda for late attendance at a compulsory Briefing.
