Carol Rosenberger will be soloist March 21, 1968 Carol Rosenberger, pianist, will be soloist in a recital of keyboard works from the 18th to the 20th centuries at 8:30 p.m., Sunday, March 31 at the University of California, San Diego. The recital, to be held in Building 409 on UCSD's Matthews Campus, is sponsored by the Department of Music and is free and open to the public. The all-piano program will include works by Rameau, Beethoven, Faure, Rachmaninoff and Scriabin. Miss Rosenberger, who has performed in America and Europe, receiving unanimous press acclaim, has earned additional plaudits for her rare triumph over an attack of polio which threatened to end her career at the age of 21. The story of her return to the concert stage was told in Redbook Magazine in 1966. Miss Rosenberger, born in Detroit, gave her first solo recital at the age of eight, and studied in the United States with Webster Aitken, in Paris with Nadia Boulanger, and in Vienna with Franz Eibner and Eta Harich- Schneider. She has toured the capitals of Europe three times and has performed from coast to coast in the United States in recital and with major symphony orchestras. She has also made numerous television and radio appearances. In January Miss Rosenberger, who also teaches piano in Los Angeles, performed with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of London during its tour of the midwest.
