RESOLUTION NO.: 38 -2007 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Ursu and All Members of Council A Resolution Commending and Congratulating Anna Melomud for Becoming Miss Ohio USA 2007 and Her Academic Accomplishments Anna Melomud is a resident of the City of Richmond Heights and a 22-year old student at Kent State University who will soon receive her Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Biology and Pre-Medicine. She plans to earn a doctor of osteopathy degree, become an osteopathic physician and practice family medicine; and WHEREAS, competing as Miss Richmond Heights USA, Anna Melomud won the Miss Ohio USA 2007 title among 68 contestants in the state pageant held in Portsmouth, Ohio, on September 23, 2006; and WHEREAS, upon being crowned as Miss Ohio USA 2007, Anna was a contestant in the Miss USA 2007 Pageant in Los Angeles, California, on March 23, 2007, competing admirably for Ohio and Richmond Heights; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council desire to publicly acknowledge Anna's accomplishments as Miss Ohio USA and also her academic achievements. NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Resolved by the Council of the City of Richmond Heights, State of Ohio, that: Section 1 : The Mayor and Council of the City of Richmond Heights do hereby highly commend and congratulate Anna Melomud upon achieving the title of Miss Ohio USA 2007 and acknowledge her exemplary academic achievements. Section 2 : The Clerk of Council is hereby directed to forward an original of this Resolution to Ms. Melomud.
