Pedestrian and school entrances: There is one vehicle access to the school and two pedestrian access gates, one off Duke Road and one off Fraser Street. St Mary's RC Primary School, an adult education centre and cafe are adjacent to the school and are all accessed from this cul de sac. Catchment area: The majority of pupils are from the local area, however some children travel from across the borough or from a joining boroughs and these pupils travel from further away. As of April 2015 the school has 308 pupils on roll and is a diverse community of which 41% have English as an additional language and 24% are entitled to free school meals (76). Additional provision is offered for the 8% of the school community identified as gifted and talented (34) and the 8% children identified with a Statement of Educational Need/School Action Plus. Although predominantly serving the local community, pupils at the school travel from Hammersmith, Shepherds Bush, Ealing, Feltham and Hayes. The School also hosts an onsite Childrens Centre and Early Years provision. Roads We are a few minutes drive from Chiswick High road which leads to the A4 and M4. Traffic on the Chiswick roundabout, worry about being late for school.Dogs mess on Duke Rd. Restricted alleyways when scooting, fear of bumping into people. Roadworks mean walking a long way around. Fear of tripping on uneven pavements where tree roots are lifting the paving. This would also help to slow down the traffic on Duke's Avenue where there are a number of local schools nearby with a number of children of all ages crossing this road. The William Hogarth School, St Marys RC School, Chiswick Secondary School, Belmont School, Heathfield School, along with many Nursery / preschool settings children can be seen daily trying to cross the road .
