INCLEMENT WEATHER DAYS Our original plan for snow days for the 2020-2021 school year was to take advantage of what the State called - a “pivot” to remote learning. In other words, the State has allowed us to switch from in-person learning to remote learning days when the weather is bad. However, with all the changes that 2020 has brought, we strongly believe that, when it is not safe to travel to school, a good old-fashioned snow day is just what our students need. Therefore, on days when the weather prohibits travel, Candor Schools will still have traditional “snow days”. Please encourage your students to play, sleigh ride, make snowmen, watch movies, bake cookies, shovel (shovel for a neighbor), and enjoy a device free day away from Google Classroom and Chromebooks. And make hot chocolate! The information below represents the television and radio stations that will announce emergency school closing information for the community and students of the Candor School District. Please do not call school offices or the bus garage to check on the status for the day. Telephone lines are needed to make outgoing calls and to handle emergencies.
