Care should be taken to avoid disturbance r of wildlife, particularly nesting birds. m C !G E CLIFF SCREE Winter Recreation o ![ r SCREE e Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing - There is limited winter use for ski touring and r CLIFF e snowshoeing due to unploughed roads. It is possible to reach the park from Alberta via k SCREE y Peter Lougheed Park ski trails. Please note dogs are not allowed on these ski trails or SCREE E in the cabin at Elk Lakes. Travel is fairly easy through the lower areas. Do not follow K 5,602,000 A the summer hiking trail to Upper Elk Lake via Fox Lake due to the numerous avalanche 5,602,000 L paths along the way. Instead, follow the meadows in a southerly direction until the K 1732 1711 power line is reached. 1722 L !i L o w e r E MORAINE !9 E l k !È R !F L a k e !G E Cabins / Huts CLIFF ![ P TRANSMISSION LINE P The Alpine Club of Canada operates a small lodge at the trailhead and the entrance of the MORAINE CLIFF SCREE U park for public use.
