SAR stood down after the subject returned. 3 06:54 SWE LAND 1 12 1 12 Kent Harrison SAR members responded to 200793 search for an overdue ATV rider in the Chehalis or Harrison West area. Subject was located safely and SAR stood down. 3 11:26 NEA INLAND 2 2 2 1 Tumbler Ridge SAR member and 1 North Peace 200794 WATER SAR member responded to search for 2 individuals who went fishing and floating on the Murray River and had not been heard from in 2 days. 2 subjects were located safe and sound on a fishing trip in the Cranbrook area. 03 11:37 SEA INLAND 1 5 1 5 Kaslo SAR members responded to rescue a 200795 WATER subject who fell off the Powder Creek Falls. SAR was quickly stood down as the subject surfaced and took themselves to hospital. 03 11:50 SEA LAND 1 4 1 4 Columbia Valley SAR members responded to 200796 rescue an exhausted hiker on the Old Coach Trail. Fire was able to reach the subject and SAR stood down. 03 11:55 SEA LAND 1 11 1 11 Arrow Lakes SAR members responded to 200797 rescue an injured mountain biker on Upper Butter Trail. SAR rescued the subject, and transported them to BCAS. 03 11:57 SWE LAND 1 6 1 6 North Shore Rescue members responded via 200798 helicopter to rescue an injured female with a suspected broken ankle from the Lynn Headwaters Park in North Vancouver. The patient was brought out and handed over to BCAS for further treatment and transport to the hospital. 03 12:01 CTL INLAND 1 12 1 7 Wells Gray and 5 Kamloops SAR members 200799 WATER responded to assist with an injured canoeist on Myrtle Lake in the Clearwater area. The Provincial Park staff were able to rescue the subject and bring them back to shore and declined medical assistance. SAR was stood down. 03 12:16 CTL LAND 1 4 1 4 Vernon SAR members responded to a rescue a 200800 female that suffered a seizure in the Cliff Jump area on the east side of Kalamalka Lake. SAR was stood down while mustering, after a private boat was able to transport the subject to shore where she was met by BCAS. 03 12:26 SWE LAND 1 15 1 15 Squamish SAR members responded to rescue 200801 an injured hiker on Lake Lovely Trail. Subject was rescued via HETS and transferred to BCAS and declined BCAS transport. 03 12:45 VIR LAND 1 11 1 11 Campbell River SAR members responded to a 200802 PLB activation near Mt Thelwood in Strathcona Park. SAR and 442 Squadron rescued the subject and transported them to Comox. 03 14:22 SEA LAND 1 7 1 7 Nelson SAR members and 9 New Denver Fire 200803 Dept members responded to rescue an injured hiker near Bannock Point. SAR was stood down when the FD was able to get to the patient with their rescue boat and transport him to hospital. 03 14:45 SWE LAND 1 18 1 18 Sunshine Coast SAR members responded to 200804 rescue a female hiker with a broken leg in Madeira Park. SAR assisted BCAS and Fire Dept by transporting the subject over technical terrain. 03 19:37 SWE INLAND 1 12 1 12 Chilliwack SAR members responded to rescue 200805 WATER a stranded jet ski rider on the Fraser, upriver of debris. Subject self rescued and SAR was stood down 03 20:37 CTL INLAND 1 4 1 4 Shuswap Rescue 1 members responded to 200806 WATER assist BCAS with an injured jet-skier near Cinnemousun Narrows. They were stood down by BCAS who was able to access the injured person. 03 21:03 CTL LAND 1 4 1 4 Shuswap Rescue 1 members responded to 200807 rescue an injured male near Wilson Creek. The subject was rescued and transferred to BCAS. 04 0234 CTL INLAND 21 3 21 3 Shuswap Rescue 1 members responded at the 200808 WATER request of the FD to transport fire personnel and to rescue 21 occupants of a houseboat fire on Mara Lake. The subjects were rescued and turned over to RCMP, and the fire crew remained to extinguish the houseboat fire. 04 10:59 SWE LAND 1 8 1 8 North Shore members responded to an injured 200809 hiker on Cyprus Mountain. SAR rescued the subject, and turned them over to BCAS. 04 19:16 VIR LAND 1 15 1 15 Nanaimo SAR members responded to locate a 200810 missing female in Nanaimo. SAR located the subject in good condition.. 04 19:36 SWE LAND 2 25 2 7 Central Fraser Valley, 7 Ridge Meadows and 11 200811 Mission SAR members responded to rescue two injured people from a vehicle down an embankment near Hatzic. The subjects were brought up the embankment by SAR and were transferred to BCAS. 04 2058 SWE LAND 1 8 1 8 Hope SAR members responded to assist an ATV 200812 operator that went over an embankment on Sqeah FSR. Subject was located deceased, and SAR transported them to the roadside. 04 2217 CTL INLAND 6 6 Vernon SAR members responded to RCMP 200813 WATER request to assist a boater in distress on Kalamalka Lake. SAR was stood down when RCMP were able to get the boat towed back to shore. 05 0014 SWE LAND 2 2 Squamish SAR responded to investigate the 200814 source of a flare sighting at the top of The Chief. After discussion with RCMP, Squamish SAR was stood down as there was not enough information to act on. 05 0213 NEA INLAND 1 12 1 12 Prince George SAR members responded 200815 WATER following reports of a male in a kayak calling for help on the Willow River. Subject was located alive and well. 05 06:59 SEA LAND 1 10 1 3 Arrow Lakes SAR and 7 Kaslo SAR members 200816 responded following a spot beacon activation at the Valhalla Provincial Park. The subject was successfully rescued and transferred to BCAS. 05 09:57 VIR LAND 1 6 1 6 Campbell River SAR members responded to 200817 rescue an injured hiker at the very north end of Vancouver Island. The subject was rescued and SAR was stood down. 05 10:14 SWE AIR ELT 4 4 PEP Air members responded to an ELT sounding 200818 in the Langley Airfield. JRCC stood down PEP Air when the ELT was silent for over an hour. 05 10:33 SEA INLAND 2 9 2 9 Revelstoke SAR members responded to assist 200819 WATER RCMP following report of 2 boaters capsized near Revelstoke. RCMP stood SAR down as hotel staff located the 2 subjects alive. 05 12:50 CTL LAND 1 17 1 13 CORD SAR and 4 Vernon SAR members 200820 responded to assist with an injured biker at Myra Canyon. Subject was flown out and transferred to BCAS for transport to hospital. 05 17:40 SEA INLAND 1 21 1 12 Nelson, 4 Kaslo, 2 Grand Forks and 3 Castlegar 200821 WATER SAR members responded to a possible drowning in the south Slocan River. Extensive searches by SAR failed to find any sign of the subject, RCMP dive team conducted a search of several deep pools in the area, and located the subject, deceased. SAR was stood down. 05 18:05 SWE INLAND 1 10 1 10 Hope SAR members responded to search for a 200822 WATER missing boater on the Nahatlach River outside of Boston Bar. As the SAR team was mustering a local rafting company guide spotted the individual and rescued him. 05 19:40 CTL LAND 1 8 1 8 Kelowna FD members responded to conduct a 200823 high angle rescue for a subject over an embankment on the Gillard FSR outside of Kelowna. The subject was rope rescued and transferred to BCAS for transport to the hospital. 05 20:11 VIR LAND 2 13 2 13 Alberni Valley Rescue Squad members 200824 responded to search for 2 overdue teens hiking in the Sproat Lake area. SAR located both of the youths in good condition. 05 20:55 SWE LAND 1 7 1 7 North Shore Rescue members responded 200825 following reports of an elderly male who was moving slowly on the Howe Sound Crest Trail.
