New Business: • Suggestions that were submitted: 2002-005-S – We thought the smoking situation was going to be taken care of a long time ago. The ashtrays are too close to the around the McDermott Library and the smoke is overwhelming when you pass through the area. Especially on the lower level. The other problem is they have taken chairs out there and broken them and it generally looks horrible. Don’t you need to be at least a certain amount of feet from the to smoke?

¾ A motion was made and seconded for the Chair to send a letter to Dr. Jenifer and his cabinet with a copy to the Faculty Senate that states all ash trays need to be moved away from the doors. The motion passed.
