As reigning RBS 6 Nations Champions, Ireland will have a bull’s-eye on their back with everyone looking to knock them o their pedestal. The preparation for the 2015 Rugby World Cup will start in earnest during the 2014 Guinness Series. During the series, two past RWC champions South Africa and Australia return to the Aviva to take on Ireland. These two juggernauts will be looking to beat the best of what the Northern Hemisphere has to oer and prove to themselves and the rest of the world that they are real contenders to regain the title of World Champions. Following the autumn games there will be a bruising RBS 6 Nations where players and management alike will be looking to impress one last time before the World Cup kicks o in September. Again Ireland will be the team to beat for the other 5 nations but Joe Schmidt has proved himself a wily tactician and capable of seeing o any team that he meets. With England and France coming to Dublin in the 2015 Six Nations Tournament it is sure to give Ireland the platform it needs to make a clear statement and to launch their bid for the Webb Ellis Cup. The Hospitality Partnership is the only company with exclusive rights to the Aviva Stadium. You and your guests will arrive hours before the match and will be greeted by our friendly sta. As the atmosphere around the ground swells, you will be wined, dined and entertained on corporate level of the Stadium allowing you to soak it all up. Your party is guaranteed not to miss a single moment of the action as its all unfolds right before your eyes. The RBS Six Nations matches are the most sought after tickets in world rugby and this year will be even bigger. Joe Schmidt and his men will be looking to continue on previous success and march over France and England toward Twickenham. With everything to play for and markers to be laid down the by all teams these games promise to be the most electric events of the coming months. Make sure you and your guests are at the heart of it all. There will be pre match interviews with some of rugby’s former greats and post-match analysis from the Irish players themselves. The Hospitality Partnership Ltd. are oering an incomparable experience, one which puts you at the centre of it all. HOSPITALITY ROOMS, TICKET LOCATIONS & FACILITIES Havelock Restaurant The Havelock Restaurant is located on level 4 (executive level) inside the stadium and is our prime hospitality oering. This restaurant is glass fronted and boasts panoramic views of the pitch, the stadium and of Lansdowne Road. This facility is located behind the south goal and reserved padded match seats are located directly outside the room. This allows guests the added advantage of half time drinks at your tables. The Havelock Restaurant has a capacity of 636 but splits into three rooms connected by a number of semi-private window bays. Tables of 8, 10, 12 and 18 apply. Smaller groups are required to share a table. Corporate Boxes The glass-fronted corporate boxes are situated on level 4 inside the stadium. The boxes are situated along the sides of the pitch on the East and West stands. Boxes have capacity for 12, 24 and 50 and may be sold on a shared basis. Guests who purchase corporate hospitality in a box, can enjoy their lunch inside the box with their match seats directly outside. Guest speakers and player interviews are not included in corporate box packages. Vavasour West The Vavasour West Room is located on level 2 inside the stadium and is also glass fronted overlooking Lansdowne Road. This room has a capacity of 100 guests and the match tickets are located in the West Upper Stand, Block 524. These tickets are all between the 22 metre lines of the pitch. Tables of 10 apply. Lansdowne Suite With a capacity of 200, this room is located on level 2 in the East Stand and has match tickets in Blocks 106 and 107 which are located around the 22m lines of the pitch. Tables of 8, 10 and 12 apply. BOOKING: A. The Hospitality Partnership (THP) considers acceptance of bookings for a client (which term includes all members of a party for a client) for an event when a Booking Form, Letter or other written communication accompanied by a specific deposit is received and accepted by THP and provided always that the specified deposit is received by THP within seven days of issue of Booking Form. Balance of the invoice is payable to THP, not later than 8 weeks prior to the event or other specified date. If these terms are not met, THP may rescind immediately & without notice, and reallocate all confirmed bookings. Deposits paid are not refundable. B. Although THP will use its best endeavours it shall not be obliged to ensure that a ten-day notice of proposed cancellation will first issue to the client. In the event of cancellation, the client may be liable for cancellation charges as hereinafter set out. 2. CANCELLATIONS: A. Any client intending to cancel must notify THP in writing immediately. Cancellations more than eight weeks prior to the event booked will make the client liable to a charge of not more than 50% of the full invoice. If cancellation occurs less than eight weeks prior to the event date, cancellation charge will be for the entire invoice. B. Should the event, the subject of the booking be cancelled due to circumstanced beyond the control of THP, the client will not be entitled any compensation or damages.

    Aviva Stadium:A parametric success Paul Shepherd, Roly Hudson and David Hines international journal of architectural computing issue 02, volume 09 167 Aviva Stadium:A parametric success Paul Shepherd, Roly Hudson and David Hines Abstract The Aviva Stadium, Dublin, is the first stadium to be designed from start to finish using commercially available parametric modelling software. A single model in Bentley’s Generative Components was shared between architects and engineers, which allowed the optimised design of form, structure and façade. The parametric software was extended where necessary to integrate with structural analysis and to automate fabrication. By reducing the overhead associated with design iterations, this approach allowed detailed exploration of options and early identification and resolution of potential problems. In this paper, the authors add to the body of scientific knowledge by describing in detail the methods which led to the construction of the Aviva Stadium.This paper is written in light of the completed building and provides information on the generation and control of the envelope geometry, development and analysis of structure and documentation for construction.Whilst these components have been discussed independently previously [1–4], here these aspects are drawn together for the first time and are presented alongside thoughts on the manufacturing and construction processes from the project architect. 168 1. I believe too many conferences – and industry magazines – are dominated by product promotions, supplier-driven content and what I call ‘death-by-PowerPoint’ presentations. These events invariably fail to deliver great value for their attendees. I felt it was time for a new industry event that focuses on what the stadium professional really needs to know. Where are the revenues coming from? Can we reduce costs and waste? What does sustainability mean in practice? How do we deliver more events? How do we drive visitor numbers? Are our customers happy? So – thanks to our guest speakers, experts and industry leaders – we will address these issues over the next two days in Dublin. It has been a pleasure to work with Peter McKenna, his team at Croke Park and the GAA ‘family’ in planning this year’s meeting. All stadiums are, of course, ‘one of a kind’ and Croke Park is certainly that – in fact, a very special one. It may surprise you to know that the Gaelic sport players who attract the sell-out crowds to this stadium are not the mega-earners of pro-sports. They are all amateurs, volunteering their time and energy to represent their local towns and counties. As such, Croke Park must be one of the largest amateur sport facilities in the world – and you have to be here at an All-Ireland Final to really understand the depth of pride and passion that exists for this stadium.

It has been a wonderful experience in what was a very good year for Irish rugby. The overall background to the season was one of continued turbulence in the World economy, particularly so in Europe. The IRFU and other Unions are not immune from the effects of this. It was also a year during which there has been a change in the balance of power at International level. There is cause for concern that there may be moves to change the voting structures at IRB level which could significantly change the way the game is run to the disadvantage of the four “home’’ Nations and other tier one countries. PRESIDENT’S It is at times like this we need to cherish and promote the core values upon which rugby football is founded, above all the integrity REPORT of the game. There are real challenges ahead. My year in office will have been book-ended by visits to New Zealand, firstly in September and October 2011 for Rugby World Cup and returning in June 2012 for Ireland’s three Test summer tour.
