Santa Clara Swim Club Coach Gregg Troy 2012 US Olympic Head Coach

Coach Gregg Troy, Head Coach of the , will be on deck to observe Santa Clara’s senior practice on Monday, October 13th.

On Monday, October 13th, Coach Gregg Troy will be on deck to observe Santa Clara’s senior practices. Coach Troy is entering his 18th season with the University of Florida, and he was the 2012 US Olympic Team Head Coach. In 2012, Coach Troy’s swimmers, some of whom include Ryan Coach Troy Lochte, , and Connor Dwyer, went on to win multiple Olympic medals and lead Team USA to a most successful . 2012 US Men’s Olympic Team Head Coach Over the past weekend, two SCSC high school seniors took official visits to the University of Florida as part of their college recruiting experience. 2010 USA Coach Coach Troy is now in Santa Clara doing home visits with these two of the Year athletes and their families. While on deck, he will watch our current high school seniors practice, and he will also learn more about the SCSC 2010, NCAA Coach of the training program and watch potential recruits for future years. This is a 2011 Year great opportunity for our swimmers!

During the month of October, the SCSC staff will be focusing on college 75 Number of Olympians swimming education. We plan to have our high school seniors visit the Coach Troy has coached. Performance Prep, Gold, and Blue Bell groups to talk about their experiences with college recruiting. We will also distribute a few articles to 18 Years at the University help educate families on the recruiting process. We are also working on a of Florida brochure of our underclassmen to send to colleges across the country to help promote our athletes. And finally, at the end of the month, many of our age groupers will attend the Stanford-Texas dual meet to see college swimming first hand.
