April 2016

Dear Applicant,

Thank you for expressing your interest in the position of Head of Curriculum Development at the North Ashfield Behaviour and Attendance Trust.

The Trust is the incorporation of the School Behaviour and Attendance Partnership (SBAP) in North Ashfield. To date, the partnership between Ashfield School, Kirkby College, Quarrydale and has been extremely effective in lowering permanent exclusion rates and supporting young people at risk of permanent exclusion. However, our work isn‘t exclusively about behaviour; we support students from a variety of backgrounds, and with a wide range of issues that often make access to mainstream education a challenging prospect.

Our aim is to ensure that all young people in North Ashfield have the opportunity to access education and meet their potential.

The partnership established the highly successful SPACE Learning Centre almost five years ago, providing intervention and alternative education in North Ashfield. Since then, the work of the partnership has grown and we opened a new KS4 centre in January 2016. We are now seeking a Head of Curriculum Development, a new post within the Trust, to lead the creation and implementation of our education programmes, and to oversee the quality of teaching and learning.

We are looking for staff who are passionate about young people and who possess the drive and determination to affect change in their lives. Applicants should be open to new ideas and challenges, and be able to adapt to the ever-changing needs of a dynamic and flexible learning environment.

If you would like to discuss the role, please contact me at the SPACE Learning Centre on 01623 758728.

I look forward to receiving your application.

Yours faithfully

Matt Morris Director North Ashfield Behaviour and Attendance Trust
