We support our community to fulfi ll our mission: Organ transplantati on off ers life-saving and quality-of-life enhancing treatment opti ons to pati ents with end-stage organ failure. Aiming to fulfi ll this potenti al, Eurotransplant was established and acts as mediator between donor hospitals and transplant centers, for the benefi t of such pati ents.

SERVICES ACCORDING TO THE BASIC MANDATE We distinguish the following services to the member states:

Allocation services • 24/7 duty desk organ allocation services. • 24/7 immunological support to the allocation office and transplant centers by ETRL. • Online waiting list data-entry. • Online donor data-entry services. • Evaluation of post-transplant results by maintaining a follow-up registry. SUPPORT We organize supportive processes: • Clearing house function concerning settlement of costs between donating and receiving transplant centers. • Development and maintenance of information systems.

FINANCE Our activities are financed by the health insurance companies in the participating countries. The organization’s budget and the resulting registration fees are negotiated annually with the financers and/or the national authorities.

GENERAL STATISTICS Supervisory Board Responsible for supervision, monitoring and advising the Board of Management on the achievement of our goals, our strategy, the financial reporting process, compliance with legislation and regulations as well as approving the annual budget. Board of Management Responsible for the general management of the Foundation under the supervision of the Supervisory Board. Council of Medicine and Science Advises the Board of Management concerning issues of allocation and allocation development. Council of Administration Advises the Board of Management concerning financial, organizational, administrative and information services issues. General Assembly 253 delegates of transplant programs within Eurotransplant.
