The Golden Knights dropped the next three meetings against the Kings, falling 4-3 in LA (Nov. 16, 2019), 5-2 in Vegas (Jan. 9, 2020) and 4-1 at T-Mobile Arena (March 1, 2020). Max Pacioretty led all skaters on either team with six points (3G, 3A) in the four meetings. Shea Theodore finished with four points (1G, 3A) against the Kings and Reilly Smith (2G, 1A) and William Karlsson (1G, 2A) each chipped in with three points each in four meetings.

2019-20 Rewind The Vegas Golden Knights returned to the Western Conference Final after defeating the Vancouver Canucks in seven games in September of 2020. It was the team’s second appearance in three years and Vegas became the first team to reach the Conference Finals multiple times in its first three NHL seasons since the series was introduced in 1982. During the regular season, Vegas won the Pacific Division with an overall record of 39-24-8 (86 points). The Golden Knights became the first franchise in League history to capture a division title multiple times within their first three NHL seasons (among clubs to debut when the NHL featured divisions from 1926-27 to 1937-38 and in each campaign since 1967-68).

Etched In Stone On January 13, 2021, the Vegas Golden Knights announced that forward Mark Stone will serve as the first captain in the organization's history. Stone was acquired by the Golden Knights on February 25, 2019 from the . In his first game donning the "C," Stone finished with two points (1G, 1 A) against the Anaheim Ducks (Jan. 14), he followed that up with two assists in the second game of the season against the Ducks (Jan. 16). He helped Vegas to a 4-0-0 start by factoring on the game-winning goal in each contest (2G, 2A). He became the fourth player in NHL history to help his team to a 4-0-0 start to the season by recording a point on the winning goal in each outing. The only players to do so are Radek Bonk (4 w/ OTT in 1999-00), Pat Verbeek (4 w/ DAL in 1996-97) &Jean Beliveau (4 w/ MTL in 1970-71).

Stone Era Vegas forward Mark Stone has 11 points (2G, 9A) through seven games this season and is averaging 1.57 points per game, which is good for fifth in the NHL this season. He opened his 2020-21 campaign with a two point game (1G, 1A) against the Anaheim Ducks &followed that up with a two assist night against the Ducks two days later. He posted an assist in the team's third game of the season against Arizona (Jan. 18) &scored a goal to go with an assist in the team's fourth game of the year against the Coyotes (Jan. 20). It's the second straight season he's opened with back-to-back multi-point games. Most recently, he posted a three assist game against the St. Louis Blues (Jan. 26).

Mad Max! Vegas forward Max Pacioretty posted his seventh career hat trick after potting three goals against St. Louis (Jan. 26). He leads all active U.S. born players in career hat tricks and ranks tied for ninth all-time among American born players. He has scored six goals this year, which is tied for 10th most in the NHL. Pacioretty became the second Golden Knight to score in three straight games to open a season after helping lead Vegas to a 4-2 win over Arizona (Jan. 18), joining James Neal, who did it in the first four games of the franchise's history. Pacioretty helped lead the Golden Knights to a 5-2 win over Anaheim after scoring a goal in the team's season opener (Jan. 14). It was fifth time in his career that he has posted a goal in his first game of the season. Two days later he followed that up with a game-winning goal in overtime against the Ducks (Jan. 16). It's the first time in his career he has started a season with goals in the first three games of the season.
