The annual report 2016-2017 is based on the work which the society, Mohun Bagan SAIL Football Academy has done throughout

this year for the development of the society as well as the development of Youth Football. The activities are in the following:

 SPORTS & GAMES  TWO DAYS SCHOOL FOOTBALL DEVELOPEMENT PROGRAMME  STUDENTS STIPEND

 VOCATIONAL TRAINING FOR YOUTH  FREE DISTRIBUTION OF SPORTS KITS  FREE COACHING CAMPS IN RURAL AREAS  DAY CELEBRATION  FOOTBALL CLINIC  SWACHHA BHARAT MISSION SPORTS & GAMES: MBSFA has participated in various competitions throughout the year in maximum states of our country.  121st U19 IFA Shield 2016-17 Runners Up – Kolkata  OORJA 2017 – Winner – Siliguri, North Bengal  Gen. Padmajung Memorial invitation Football Tournament 2017 –Runners Up - Kailashsahar, Tripura  Ranjit Sarkar Memorial Champions Trophy – Runners Up – Gairkata, Jalpaiguri  Dibyendu Bose (Rajen) Memorial Championship – 3rd Place – Jalpaiguri  National level BSA Cup Football Tournament 2017 – 3rd Place - Ambernath, Mumbai

Also in U18 I League 2016-17 we topped the Kolkata Zone with 23 points in Matches with East Bengal finshed as Runnes-up. But unfortunately due to one player document proof problem our team was not qualify to play in the final round.

TWO DAYS SCHOOL FOOTBALL DEVELOPEMENT PROGRAMME: MOHUN BAGAN SAIL FOOTBALL ACADEMY celebrated its 14th Annual Day from 19th to 20th July, 2016 by organising A Rural School Football Tournament of Durgapur Sub Division named as “Football Festo 2016”. Eight Rural Schools from Durgapur participated in Football Festo 2016. There were two groups - Class V & Class VI from each school. The participated schools were Pratappur Kalikapur Tapoban Vidyapith, Bijra High School, Kuldiha Junior High School, Gopalpur High (+2) School, Rakshitpur High School, Malandighi Durgadas Vidyamandir, Labnapara High School, Amlajorah High School (H.S).

The finalist school from class V were Malandighi Durgadas Vidyamandir Vs. Pratappur Kalikapur Tapoban Vidyapith and from class VI were Labnapara High School Vs. Amlajorah High School (H.S).

Pratappur Kalikapur Tapoban Vidyapith(V) & Amlajorah High School (H.S) (VI) lifted the finalist trophy of Football Festo 2016.Most of the team contained with young talented player. On 19th July, 2016 the programme was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Guest - Smt. Kasturi Sengupta , Commissioner, Durgapur Municipal Corporation, and also present Guest of

Honour on this auspicious occasion Shri. Sankha Santra, Sub - Divisional Officer(SDO),Durgapur, Mr. S.Giri , Joint- Commissioner, Sales Tax , Durgapur,Mr. V. K Chauhan, Sr. Chief Project Manager, Oriental Structural Engineers Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Jopaul Anchery , Ex-International Footballer & Chief Coach, MBSFA. On the 20th July, 2016 programme was start with flag hoisting by Hon’ble Chief Guest Mr. A.K.Rath , CEO , Durgapur Steel Plant and Hon’ble President of Mohun Bagan SAIL Football Academy. He was associated with Guest of Honour was presented Mr. Anjan Kumar Mitra (Hon’ble Genaral Secretary, Mohun Bagan Athletic Club), Shri K. Alam (Sr. Joint Commissioner, Sales Tax, Durgapur), Shri. Sankha Santra (Sub - Divisional Officer,Durgapur), Shri. S.Giri (Joint-Commissioner, Sales Tax, Durgapur), Mr. S. P. Gupta (GM - CSR, Durgapur Steel Plant), Mr. Jahar Das (Ex- International Footballer & Chief Coach of Aizwal FC), Mr. Jo Paul Anchery (Ex-International Footballer & Chief Coach – MBSFA), Mr. Anand Tiwari (Industrialist, Uttar Pradesh

STUDENT STIPEND: A part from our regular programme Student monthly stipend Rs. 2,000/- (Two Thousands) for U-19 teams and Rs. 1,000/- (One Thousand) for U-17 teams.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING FOR YOUTH: The Society has been conducting computer Training course with own fund of the Society and providing training on computers educations and information technology. Computer is the necessity of present time. This is the age of computer and Information Technology. If a youth is computer literate. Keeping the importance of computer education in mind, Mohun Bagan SAIL Football Academy has initiated computer education programme for the students of his society. FREE DISTRIBUTION OF SPORTS KITS: Mohun Bagan SAIL Football Academy undertook the program of distributing sports kits in the Durgapur Sub Division to Orphanages the Schools and local coaching camps throughout the year. Free Distribution of sports kits Society arrange to the peoples including for backward SC, ST, and OBC. . Not only that we undertook the program of distributing football kits to the camps throughout the year.

FREE COACHING CAMPS: Mohun Bagan Sail Football Academy undertook the program of running free coaching camps in the two places of Kanksha Block in the Durgapur Sub-Division and Bankhura is associate with Samayeka Math where the society provided the coaches, kits and diet free to the boys.Mr. Gourav Chatterjee(AFC-B License) was in the charge of these camp. DAY CELEBRATION: A part from our regular programme we celebrate the following days in a benefiting manner with meetings paediatric etc. a. Foundation day of Organization b. Rabindranath Tagore’s Birth Day c. Independence Day. d. Netaji Birth Day e. Republic day f. National Youth day (Swami Vivekananda’s Birthday) g. International Yoga Day.

SWACHHA BHARAT MISSION : We are doing the free medical, education and football camp in the rural and BPL areas. Presently we used to participate in different tournaments throughout our country some of which in very native and remote and under privileged areas. Further to let you inform that we use to organizes minimum 15 free coaching camps and AFC license training at some states like West Bengal, Jharkhand, Orissa, Chhattisgarh with football related matters, where percentage of under privileged, economically and socially neglected/backwards boys are more. We also send our trained coaches to those places for the free coaching to players and also train their coaches. In all 15 coaching centres we used the banner of “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”..

FOOTBALL CLINIC: This year the society organised the football clinic for all the boys and stuffs for the society where the society had tested the Blood group, DT, TC and Hemoglobin percentage.

SPORTS & GAMES: MBSFA has participated in various competition throughout the year even in the naxlaised and disturbing Jangal Mahal area like Jhalda(Purulia), Baliatorh(Bankura), Moori(Jharkhand).

TWO DAYS SCHOOL FOOTBALL DEVELOPEMENT PROGRAMME: A part from our regular programme we celebrate the foundation day in a benefiting manner with the school kids.  School Football Tournament in Foundation Day on 19th& 20th July. During these celebrations children attended in colourful dresses, play and recreational activities, Songs and Music and various cultural events were organized. The days used to be ended with distribution of sweets, fruits etc. Distributed among the participants and they are happy and highly appreciated. STUDENT STIPEND:
