Recording a goal in each of his past four contests, Parkes is tied for fourth-overall in the USL in goals scored. His recent play also earned him a spot on the USL’s Team of the Week for the first week of May. • New York (3-1-2) enters the contest coming off its first loss of the season – a 2-0 defeat to the Charlotte Independence on the road. Despite the loss, the Red Bulls II have been solid to start the year sitting fourth in the East. Their goal differential of +5 is also only second to Louisville City FC (+6) in the conference. • Last season saw the two squads meet three times total – twice in the regular season and once in the playoffs. After splitting the regular season series, the Hounds traveled to New York for the first round of the USL Playoffs. Despite grabbing a lead of 2-1 in extra time, Pittsburgh could not hold on, allowing three unanswered goals for an eventual 4-2 defeat. • Following tonight’s match, Pittsburgh hits the road again, this time for its first meeting with FC Cincinnati in franchise history. In their inaugural season, FC Cincinnati (4-2-1) so far has 13 points in seven games. The team plans to turn Nippert Stadium orange by asking all fans in attendance to wear orange when the two square off on Saturday, May 14 at 4 p.m..
