INTRODUCTION

The purpose of this report is firstly to provide the Learning and Leisure Services Committee with details of playscheme grants awarded covering school holiday periods of; summer 2012, October 2012 and spring 2013 and secondly to seek approval to fund playschemes during school holiday periods of summer 2013 and October 201 3.

RECOMMENDATIONS

The learning and leisure services committee is recommended to:-

(i) note the contents of appendix I; and

(ii) authorise the Executive Director of Learning and Leisure Services to issue grant payments, in line with the previously approved formula, for playschemes operating during school holiday periods of summer 2013 and October 2013.

1. INTRODUCTION

1.I The purpose of this report is firstly to provide the Learning and Leisure Services Committee with details of playscheme grants awarded covering school holiday periods of; summer 2012, October 2012 and spring 201 3 and secondly to seek approval to fund playschemes during school holiday periods of summer 201 3 and October 2013.

2. CONSIDERATIONS

2.1 Applications for funding from playschemes proposing to operate over summer 2013 and October 2013 are currently being received and checked for eligibility. Playscheme awards will be processed in line with the previously approved formula. Details of awards will be reported to committee at a later date.

3. RECOMMENDATIONS

It is recommended that the Learning & Leisure Services Committee:-

(i) note the content of appendix 1; and

(ii) authorise the Executive Director of Learning and Leisure Services to issue grant payments in line with the previously approved formula for playschemes operating during the school holiday periods of summer 2013 and October 2013.
