Additional event management during the tournament was provided by a Squash Australia contractor who was extremely efficient and professional in her approach. Player seeding and draws were also managed pre‐ event by Squash Australia representatives.

Victorian Open The 2011 Victorian Open was held at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre from 7 – 10 July. The event was registered on the Men’s and Women’s Professional Squash Circuits as Challenger 5 and Tour 4 respectively. The finals were again webcast live over the internet with a replay package available for viewing on the Squash Vic website. Commentary was provided by Sarah Fitz‐Gerald and Cameron White with event MC 3AW’s Darren James. A $10k grant was received under the State Government’s Significant Sporting Event Funding program that contributed to the cost of the webcast coverage.

State Senior Team Squash Vic Academy The National Teams Championship was held in Dural, NSW. Strong performances from the team of Vanessa Pickerd, , Rex Hedrick Targeted Athlete Program and Cameron White saw Victoria bring home the trophy for the first time in the event’s nine year history.

Talent Development Squad State Junior Team Victoria hosted the 2011 AJC at the Melbourne Shadow Squad Sports & Aquatic Centre. The Championships consist of the Individual event followed by the Teams event.
