The Planning and Development Act, 2007 [sections 97 and 99] ______

ORDER TO ESTABLISH THE PLANNING DISTRICT Pursuant to section 99 of The Planning and Development Act, 2007, I hereby order the establishment of the Yorkton Planning District as described below. Affiliated Municipalities In accordance with their respective bylaws to authorize the execution of a Revised Memorandum of Agreement, for the Yorkton Planning District, the following municipalities and regional park authority are affiliated with the planning district: Rural of Wallace No. 243 (Bylaw No. 1-2016) Rural Municipality of Orkney No. 244 (Bylaw No. 1-2016) City of Yorkton (Bylaw No. 15/2016) York Lake Regional Park Authority Area Description The Yorkton Planning District shall encompass all those lands situated within the participating municipalities and all those lands within the York Lake Regional Park Authority as shown as Schedule “A” within the Agreement. Furthermore, located within the Planning District shall be the “Joint Management Area” as shown as Schedule “B” within the Agreement. Appointment of a District Planning Commission The affiliated municipalities and regional park authority have agreed to the “Yorkton Regional Planning District Commission”, consisting of up to nine (9) members but no less than seven (7) to be selected as follows: (a) two (2) members to be appointed by each municipal council. An alternate may also be appointed; (b) two (2) independent members representing the district interests may be appointed jointly by the councils of the participating municipalities. The Commission shall endeavor to appoint at least one member who has knowledge and interests representing drainage and watershed within the district; (c) one (1) member to be appointed jointly by the Commission to represent the York Lake Regional Park Authority. The matters referred to in section 97 of the aforementioned Act, are addressed in the Memorandum of Agreement. Dated at Regina, in the Province of Saskatchewan, the 11th day of April, 2017. ______
