Here, we conducted PET along with postmortem assays to investigate time course changes of excitatory and inhibitory synaptic constituents in an rTg4510 mouse model of tauopathy, which develops tau pathologies leading to noticeable brain atrophy at 5-6 months of age. Both male and female mice were analyzed in this study. We observed that radiosignals derived from [11C]flumazenil, a tracer for benzodiazepine receptor, in rTg4510 mice were significantly lower than the levels in nontransgenic littermates at 2- 3 months of age. In contrast, retentions of (E)-[11C]ABP688, a tracer for mGluR5, were unaltered relative to controls at 2 months of age but then gradually declined with aging in parallel with progressive brain atrophy.

Released by Key in mid-2007, Little Busters! marked the departure of many central members of the studio's development staff, as well as the introduction of many others. The game's original soundtrack went through similar changes from past works. While Jun Maeda once again contributed a good deal to the soundtrack, Magome Togoshi and Shinji Orito play a greatly reduced role, and the majority of the composition is left to the hands of a handful of newcomers to Key's scores: PMMK and Manack, with all of the vocals handled by Rita. Can the new generation of visual novel composers, in conjunction with the old, successfully build on the successes of Air and Clannad ? Jun Maeda composes the game's opening theme, "Little Busters!," of which several variations are present. The piece is wonderfully peppy, even though it may not break any new ground; the melody and accompaniment, especially the light touches on the piano, are thoroughly enjoyable. "RING RING RING!," the theme of the title's main heroine, is hauntingly evocative. The motif introduced in the pieces beginning is almost dizzying, and complements the theme itself quite nicely as it builds to a satisfying crescendo. Introduced with a short guitar segment, "BOYS DON'T CRY" is a rather enchanting piece, feigning simplicity yet involving the listener with its every note. "Waking Up in the Morning" rather brilliantly puts to music the simple act described in its title, slowly and gradually building from a murmur as if to accompany the opening of one's eyelids.

Advances in brain science and brain medicine are uncovering the mysteries of dementia and neurological and mental disorders. For this reason, a Meeting is becoming even more important, as a place where researchers can exchange the latest research results, disseminate information about new technologies, and pursue the challenge of new discoveries and breakthroughs. The theme of the 44th Annual Meeting is "Towards global neuroscience," and we here aim to create a Platform that will bring together, in Kobe, neuroscientists from around the world, and especially from China, Japan and Korea, and foster a new collaboration in neuroscience. Though all of us may maintain a safe physical distance from each other due to COVID-19, let us create a gathering of enthusiastic researchers in search of new findings and ideas, and let’s communicate with each other. Let's take neuroscience to the next level and create new values through lively discussions among participants! How is neural information transfer determined through synaptic connections between neurons and glia in a neural circuit? How are behaviors generated by an integrated system governed by brain information dynamics? How does bi-directional communication between individuals lead to mental interaction, empathy with others, consciousness and self-realization? We are entering an exciting era in which we can academically challenge and address these multifaceted mysteries of the brain and the mind. We hope that researchers and members from all over the world who are contributing to the frontiers of neuroscience will gather in Kobe, Japan, and will create an opportunity to break barriers and make a better future in neuroscience research.

    Cubed Circle Newsletter – Best of 2015 Issue With the 2015 Cubed Circle Yearbook and end of the year fast approaching, we have decided to put together a Cubed Circle Recap issue this week, encapsulating some of the best content the newsletter had to offer in 2015 ahead of our biggest issue of the year coming up in less than two weeks. This special issue will be released alongside the new, and hopefully improved, cubedcirclewrestling.com. The site has been made dramatically easier to navigate, and the content is far more organised, which should make for a better user experience. The site logo has also changed, as visitors of the website will quickly notice. As always, any feedback is very much appreciated, particularly as far as the new website is concerned, as, realistically speaking, we should have some growing pains, although the old-site, one could argue, was the manifestation of three or so years of growing pains.
