Cleaning of the field and repair the ridges at this time is to be necessarily completed. Farmers are advised not to burn the raw residue after harvesting the crop, better to go with ploughing the land with residue so that it increases the organic carbon and amount of nutrient in soil. Air pollution will also be controlled. Deep ploughing of the field should be done and covered with polythene. This will prevent crops from soil borne diseases, weeds and insect eggs will be destroyed in the soil. Send the samples of soil to the test lab for testing.

If infestation is found, spraying of Ethion @1.5-2 ml/liter of water after the current spells of rainfall is advised Mango: Harvesting stage  Spraying with the potassium nitrate @10g/lit is recommended at early hours in fruit development stage, In case of attack of shoot borer, find the hole and put kerosene into the hole and plug the hole with mud. Occasional high wind may break the branches of tree; provide support to the branch to prevent breakage and wastage of fruit  Fruit fly: hanging traps containing 1 ml Methyl ugenol/litre of water and 1 ml Melothion 50 EC. use 100 ml solution / trap and 10 traps per hectare. · Fully matured fruits can be harvested.  Bark eating caterpillar may attack Mango, Ber & Guava. This insect eats bark of these trees & makes tunnels in them. To control this insect spray Malathion 50 E.C. @ 1 ml per litre water after the current spells of rainfall.  Harvest the fruit.
