This recognition reflects the recipient’s capability to meet customer CIOs’ evolving needs in today’s dynamic business environment. It commenced with inviting leading ICT players to nominate and participate on this platform. The recognitions were decided basis a pan-India voting survey of leading CIOs to recommend their choice of preferred vendors.

To earn the CIO CHOICE recognition, participating vendors had to undergo the CIO voting survey conducted by the Centre of Recognition & Excellence to prove their level of technology expertise. CIO and ICT professionals then designated them to one or more unique category competency, ensuring a certain level of satisfaction with vendor product, solution and services. Participating vendors also had to get preferred as CIO CHOICE 2016 with customer references that demonstrated customer satisfaction and met delivery commitments.

The CIOs responses and choices in each category determined the list of companies that were bestowed with the CIO CHOICE honour and recognition title. For a period of one calendar year, honoured ICT companies can use the “CIO CHOICE” title logo for the year on their packaging, promotions, advertising and marketing campaigns.
