We t rain airline pilot s. WELCOME ON BOARD!

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen!

On behalf of my crew and myself I would like to welcome you aboard EAA. You are interested in flight training at one of the most efficient and modern European flight schools? Not to mention the fact that we are located in one of the most beautiful places in Europe ? in the immediate vicinity of the Alps, which are not only exquisitely beautiful, but present a constant challenge to pilots! Our impressive training fleet, our well-designed ground-school materials, our state-of-the-art flight simulator, our convenient payment terms and our enthusiastic staff ? everything is ready to go! What are you waiting for? You have been given a copy of our company magazine containing information about our training methods, as well as a description of our flight school. Come and check in! We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you at EAA! Capt. Thomas Edlinger Accountable Manager European Aviation Academy EAA AVIATION ACADEMY

EAA Aviation Academy was founded with the idea in mind of setting the highest standards in flight training. Our guiding principle in teaching and training student pilots is to offer the highest of quality through maximum efficiency. Current trends and developments in the aviation industry are supporting this approach.

Salzburg as a location offers a unique training and working environment for our student pilots. As a challenge to pilots, the Alps are situated almost directly at the front doorstep of the W.A. Mozart International Airport, which is embedded in the complex airspace structure of the , , and Linz airports. Thanks to this, your pilot training here adds a decisive value in hiring you for your future employers. Salzburg, however, has even more to offer: Beautiful lakes for swimming, trails for hiking and mountain biking, as well as a large number of other sports and leisure activities ? which is exactly what you will need in helping you recover from the challenges of pilot training!

It goes without saying that we will support you beyond graduation by means of our effective job assessment and placement software. Your career portal will store all pertinent data you can then submit to interested airlines, thus facilitating your transition from student pilot to your first job. At the EAA Flight Operations Center, learning and living, theory and practice are combined in a strikingly state-of-the-art, bright, and clearly structured style when compared to more traditional flight schools. The mission and vision of EAA as well as its extraordinarily high standards of professionalism and quality of training show in many small details: Our school building with its contemporary, fresh and colorful exterior, our intrinsic values and, above all, a direct view of the buildings and of the Salzburg Airport, the second largest passenger airport in , located in the immediate vicinity of the Alps.

Inside the Gate you will find a modern lounge and meeting area, a large classroom, and two briefing rooms. The Cadets' lounge area consists of a large conference table for studying and preparing together, as well as a convenience area including a kitchenette with a fridge, drinks, a lounge sofa, as well as an entertainment corner with a TV and Xbox and, of course, free wifi.

For small groups, two briefing rooms are available. They come, of course, with IT infrastructure.

Our modern classrooms also offer state-of-the-art equipment in addition to projectors, whiteboards, flip charts, and screens, including IT infrastructure that is easily sufficient for performance-hungry graphics applications, such as flight simulators.

The Terminal has a spacious reception and waiting area. Here, the administration offices and the simulator area are located.

The large check-in lobby is equipped with Economy Class seats from . Atmospherically lit, it unmistakably demonstrates EAA?s passion for aviation and training of future generations of pilots. AIRCRAFT

DIAMOND AIRCRAFT DA42 TWIN STAR State-of-the-art multi-engine aircraft

An iconic aircraft, the DA42 offers state-of-the-art maximum aerodynamic efficiency as well as cutting-edge technology from its engines to avionics. Powered by two piston engines with a total output of 336 hp, yet extremely moderate in consumption of Jet-A1 fuel, the DA42 reaches a service altitude of FL 180 (18,000 ft / 6,000 m). Cruising speed is 175 knots | 315 km/ h. The overall impression is rounded off by a modern Garmin G1000 glass cockpit. T F A R C R I A

FLIGHT NAVIGATION AND PROCEDURE TRAINER - FNPT II / MCC

The Flight and Navigation Procedures Trainer (FNPT) is a class of Synthetic Training Devices (STDs) which are used in Europe for pilot training. The FNPT-II simulates equipment typical of that used in classes of single- or multi-engine aircraft, such as in "MEP" (multi-engine piston, multi-engine propeller aircraft). The FNPT-II is equipped with a visual system and produces the flight characteristics, background sounds, and behaviors of systems corresponding to those of real aircraft. A simulator must allow practicing system failures and dealing with emergency procedures as close to reality as possible. Our FNPT-II is approved for MCC training. This includes simulation of jet engines and turboprop powerplants, but also cabin pressure control, de-icing, R and autopilot use. O T A L U M I S COURSE OUTLINE D The Integrated ATPL course focuses on training applicants for the level of ready-entry airline pilot right and E
