Posted: 5/25/2018 by Junior Amazing high school. Provides lot of potential for students to improve within themselves both socially and academically. Teachers care about their students, want to build long lasting relationships and always offer advice to students in regards to their career outlooks as well as in-school decisions. The student body is very collaborative and supportive of each other which helps in the creation and implementation of a quality culture and secure atmosphere.

Posted: 3/6/2018 by Senior I enjoyed the athletic games and spirit weeks, but it always felt to me that the administration really only cared about the students involved with higher academics or athletics. I was involved in both higher academics and sports and I could still see that the other students were not paid as much attention. Every student deserves the same treatment as the next and I think ThunderRidge has some work to do in that area. I also believe that several teachers at this school do not believe that the students should be treated their age. If parents are able to treat their children more like adults than teachers can, there is an issue. High school teachers are at school to teach, not to constantly scold students for dress code and bringing a soda to class and asking to be treated like an adult.

Posted: 2/21/2018 by Senior Overall very good experience at TR. I am completing my last semester and looking back on the good memories. I made great connections with teachers and I really feel confident pursuing the career I have chosen to follow in the fall in college. Although, I wish there would have been more communication on applying to colleges and my options because in many ways it felt like I was trying to navigate alone with very little help. I made good connections with my friends and there is a great sense of involvement no matter who you are. In my perspective, the arts department was lacking funds and space.

Posted: 1/1/2017 by Senior I loved TRHS, they have great teachers that truly care about you and your education. Particularly the TRHS pro-start program really gave the passion to go into baking and pastry as a career. Mrs. Waskey (pro-start teacher) really care about our learning and preparing us for a career path in the restaurant industry. Mr. Tabeling (the principal) is amazing and would do anything for anyone in that school. He is one of the most amazing and hardworking people I know. Now one of the best parts of TR is the family feel and the crazy school spirit! I have loved TRHS and will be sad to leave! <3
