Tenders are invited for the supply of fish, whether alive, dry, fresh, frozen, in brine, in tins, pickled, salted or smoked. 2. Tenders should be submitted by registered post to the Food Controller, Headquarters, P.O.B. 1248, Jerusalem, not later than the 15th October, 1942, and the envelopes marked "Tender for fish", the word "alive", "dry", "fresh", "frozen", "in brine", "in tins", "pickled", "salted" or "smoked" being inserted according to the nature of the tender.. Important:— Separate tender forms must be completed in respect of each of the commodities specified above and must be submitted to the Food Controller under separate registration cover. 3. Tenders are required for a period of three months and it is left to merchants to decide on the quantities of fish they can import, if their tenders are accepted, within that.period of time. 4. The attention of the fish importers is invited to the legislation which appears in to-day's Gazette requiring all merchants to be licensed to deal in fish and to the fact that the Food Con­ troller will not issue such licences except to those merchants who associate themselves with the successful tenderers. 5. Tender forms and contract forms axe obtainable from the office of the Food Controller, Head­ quarters, Jerusalem. 6. The Food Controller does not bind himself to accept the lowest or any tender.
