Weyburn,

2017 New Residents Guide

On behalf of the City of , I would like to welcome you to your new home; I think you will be very happy here! As one of the fastest growing communities in Saskatchewan, Weyburn is recognized as one of the most desirable places to live and work. I can truly say that Weyburn has big city convenience with small town care and compassion. Our community has low crime rates, economic strength, and amazing recreation options, all of which make Weyburn the perfect place to raise a family. Our green spaces and recreation facilities are well known and have a direct impact on the health and well-being of our citizens. Being a family oriented community means that children and youth are valued and as such we have many events and festivities that cater to families. I hope new residents will come out and see why we love our city! High quality public parks and green spaces are generously dispersed throughout the community - creating a clean and healthy environment, as seen at Jubilee Park or Tatagwa Parkway! If the green spaces in the city are not enough, many residents like to escape to nearby lakes and parks for a day of fishing, boating, or an easy vacation. I think that new citizens will find Weyburn very welcoming. We are a city that looks out for one another and strives for peace and security. The citizens of Weyburn enjoy the comforts of city life combined with the beauty and enjoyment of nature. All of these things make Weyburn a jewel on the crown that is Saskatchewan. I look forward to seeing you out and about enjoying what Weyburn has to offer!

Mayor Marcel Roy
