Beginning October 1st 2019 starting hourly pay for new patrol deputies will be $23.05.

Earn up to two weeks paid vacation after one year which increases with tenure at the department along with paid holidays, sick time earned monthly, longevity pay, paid employee medical insurance, life insurance and county contribution of 2:1 into TCDRS retirement.

The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office is seeking candidates for full time Deputy Sheriff’s positions. Successful candidates will begin an intensive 13 week Field Training Program after hiring. This is to prepare them to perform their required duties and to learn the policies of the Sheriff’s Office. Upon completion of the FTO Program, new deputies will be assigned to a shift where they will begin their professional journey.

The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office offers many paths of career advancement and divisions that one day you could be part of. Included divisions are Patrol, Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement, Warrants, Court House Security, Transport, Civil Process, Criminal Investigations, Auto Theft, Mental Health Unit, Gang Unit and Narcotics.

Along with those above there are opportunities to be a member of the Boat Patrol, Negotiations Team, SWAT, K-9 or as a Field Training Officer.

The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office provides all deputies with a department service weapon, duty belt and gear, take home vehicle for those that reside in the county, and an annual clothing allowance for uniforms and boots.

The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office is located in the County Seat of Seguin, Texas. Guadalupe County is 715 Sg. Miles and founded in 1846. The county earned its name from the Guadalupe River. The county population as of 2016 is estimated to be 155,265 citizens and projected to grown over the next few years.

Seguin sits on with quick access to San Antonio, TX and a short drive to will get you to Austin, TX in no time. A few of the that are within the county lines are Schertz, Cibolo, Selma, New Braunfels, Universal , Kingsbury, Luling, Marion, New Berlin, Santa Clara, Seguin, Staples and San Marcos. Guadalupe County also has numerous other incorporated cities throughout the county.
