Train and bus The nearest train station, Hamilton West, is very close to the Council Buildings. There are four trains an hour from Central low level and Argyle Street.

There are a number of buses stop close to the building. You can plan your journey by public transport on the Traveline website www.travelinescotland.com or phone 0871 200 22 33.

By Car From the M74 motorway, exit at Junction 5 Raith Interchange and follow the directions for Hamilton Park Racecourse. On the B7071 – drive past the racecourse. At the traffic lights next to Hamilton College School, turn right at House into Caird Street and 2nd left into Beckford Street. There are large car parks on the left and the right.

From , exit the A725 East Kilbride Expressway at the roundabout turning left for Hamilton and following the directions above.

Disabled parking There are a good number of bays for Blue Badge holders next to the building on Beckford Street opposite the court and ramped access from the corner of Almada Street and Beckford Street. There are some disabled bays immediately next to the building off the Douglas Street entrance but these are often busy. To access these spaces you need to press the button on the barrier or phone 01698 454252.

Receptions The main reception is on the Beckford Street side (East Wing) accessed from the ramp. For the Committee Rooms and Banqueting Hall use to the Douglas Street entrance (West Wing).

Facilities There is a coffee bar adjacent to the East Wing reception. Visitors are also welcome to use the Horizon’s Restaurant on the 15th floor where you can admire the views of the whole area!

Montrose House The Montrose House building is across the road from the Council Headquarters. Follow the right turn off Beckford Street into Street at the back of the building and first left into Douglas Street. Montrose House is on Montrose Crescent, straight ahead at the traffic lights. There are disabled bays next to Montrose House and a small car park opposite Montrose House.
