Starting from Callander Crags car park, just north of Callander town centre, follow the forest Queens’ Jubilee Cairn • road through the barrier. The path turns right, climbing steeply through conifer woodlands. At the top of the crag steps turn left for the main route or turn right for 200m to visit the Queens’ Diamond Jubilee Cairn. On a good day there are breathtaking panoramic views of the Menteith Hills, , and the Highland Boundary Red Well • Bracklinn Fault to the west and north. Return to follow Falls the main route along the top of the crags with viewpoints of Callander. The path meets the route through the Lower Woods and this can be used to return to the car park.

The Queens’ Diamond Jubilee Cairn was built in 1897 and stands on the highest point of Callander Crags offering a 360º vista Start/end of excellent views. The cairn now commemorates the Roman Fortdiamond jubilee of both Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II. Samson’s Stone Dunmore Fort
