Everything not listed under benefits

More details Total kilometres from/to Bottrop/Saarbrücken: approx. 5600km - 6200km. The kilometre indications are "approx. kilometres according to our route planning", a deviation is not excluded.

Daily stages on site: approx. 210 - 390 km (except arrival and departure to CZ)

Road condition: Mostly well developed and asphalted roads. In Romania, the Czech Republic and Hungary, caution is advised on secondary roads, as the roads here are not in ideal condition. There are also many horse- drawn carts on the road in Romania. On some stages we also take short stretches on the highway to avoid cities. The routes through Hungary are mostly longer straights, which again are fast and easy to ride.

Riding skills: The motorcycle MUST (!) be safely mastered on winding and narrow roads. You must be in good physical condition to ride this tour. Unfortunately not suitable for beginners and re-starters! Not necessarily recommended for super sportsmen.

Climate: In our travel time the daytime temperatures can vary between 15° and 30°. Early in the morning and on pass summits sometimes very cool, we reach heights up to 2.132m on this round trip

Special features: Although the Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania belong to the EU, these countries do not yet have the euro as a means of payment. In Hungary "Forint" (HUF) is the currency. Hungary is only passed through and during the lunch break you can pay with Euro or card. In Romania the currency is "Leu" or "Lei" (RON). Money can be changed at the border crossings and in the hotels. Cash machines are also available. In the Czech Republic, the Czech Crown (CZK) is still in use. Since we stay here also 4 days on the whole trip, it makes sense to exchange a few euros at the border or to draw in the automats in the border area (e.g. Bayerisch-Eisenstein). In the small towns in the Czech Republic hardly anybody can give change on Euro and pay a coffee with credit card, it is also difficult here. Food and drinks are still quite cheap here. But in our starting hotel you can pay with Euro.

Entry requirements and medical information: The entry and vaccination regulations for the destination and transit country corresponding to the citizenship of the individual travellers apply. The regulations applicable to German citizens can be found on the website of the Federal Foreign Office.

Hotels: We stay in good 3*** to 5**** hotels during the whole trip. At all hotels there are parking facilities for the motorcycles (some of them with costs).

Minimum number of participants: 10 persons

On this tour we have many hotel changes incl. luggage transport in the support vehicle from Bottrop.

Baggage can be sent or brought in advance

Good and sufficient tyres (enough profile for the given km) are absolutely necessary!

Any tolls or parking fees that may be incurred, as well as entrance fees, must be paid by the respective traveler.

Vignettes (e-Matrica) are only mandatory for motorcycles in Hungary (approx. EUR 4.50). This can be bought on site if required.

We strongly recommend a foreign, car and health insurance + travel cancellation insurance!

Parking and parking spaces for cars and trailers are available at the starting hotel.

Level of difficulty: 3 (of 5)

25.09.2021 Romania with Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland - MOTOURISMO -- 4 Medium to demanding tour! Condition, "sitting flesh" and secure control of the motorcycle are still required! Not suitable for beginners and re-starters!
