DFDS matched this funding and therefore extended these campaigns. 6) The date of the decline of any such applications No other operators have applied for financial support under relevant schemes. Transport Scotland have received interest from potential ferry operators since 2007, and have engaged fully with any enquiries, explaining the range of funding options available. Any decision to operate a ferry service between Scotland and Europe would be a matter for the commercial ferry industry. We have, however, always made clear that we are willing to work closely with Scottish Enterprise, VisitScotland and any ports, ferry operators and other partners that could potentially be involved in new commercially viable ferry services to Europe.
