In exerc~se of the powers conferred by section 65 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Shops and V;;tabliC',hl,:cnl~; .\.«., 1973 (Act 13 of 1974-). the Administrator of Goa, Daman and Diu, hereby suspends the operation of the prOVi8i(111:~ of sub-section (1) of section 4 and sub-section (1) of section 8 of the said Act, in respect of all the ~::hops ,d Establishments situated in the area specified 'in Column 1. of the Schedule appended hereto, for the period :'hown in the corresponding entry in Column :3 of the said Schccl:llp, subject to the following conditions, :r.nr:~dy:
(i) The shops sh,tll remain closed on any otl10r day in the week; (ii) employees shall be given holiday on any oth,)l' day within the \veelc and
(iii) employees who are made to work beyond 8 hours on any day or 48 hOUl'B in the '/,'(,('1\ :,;l);di be :;n~.1 overtime wages at double the normal rate.
