Jones, CEO, Women’s Leadership Institute Extensive research clearly demonstrates the benefits of including the perspectives and voices of women in decision-making at high levels within the corporate world and in politics. In just one short year, the Women’s Leadership Institute has motivated and helped guide numerous organiza- tions throughout Utah take the ElevateHER Challenge, a group of six commitments that, collective- ly, improve the return on investment, internal communications and reputations of organizations. At present, more than 70 organizations have taken the ElevateHER Challenge. Those organizations have already experienced significant benefits as a result of specific and strategic efforts to recruit, retain and advance women. Many of Utah’s key business, civic and political leaders are seeing sim- ilar effects. Say Howdy to Awesome New Member Madalyn Smith

Admissions Counselor,

I am a born and bred Texan who was raised in Athens, a small East Texas town. I moved to Denton, Texas in 2009 to attend Texas Woman’s University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and a Master of Science in Counseling and Development.

I moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in the summer of 2015 when I accepted a position as an Admissions Counselor at the University of Utah. I was first introduced to Rotary when I had the opportunity to attend District 5830’s RYLA camp in 2007; and, I have happily returned every year since as a facilitator. I joined the Salt Lake Rotary in February of 2016.
