Really solid start for this PSU team. I think everyone is really relieved after the anticipation and the build-up. We had a long 6,134 Georgia 2/24/2012 wait after season and the chip that this team has carried, it was a constant reminder during 6,124 Arkansas 2/14/2014 preseason. That made it a little longer, yet easier to get through. 6,123 Penn State 3/7/1981 6,096 Georgia 1/12/1996 “This team really had a purpose and a will to work together as team to get through the tough 6,074 Alabama 1/19/2007 times. I am ecstatic and exceptionally proud of everyone for what they have accomplished up 6,044 Alabama 1/22/1983 to now. I know that it is just the first meet and we have a really long road ahead of us, but this 6,001 Auburn 2/18/2011 first meet was a lot of build up for this team and they came in strong. We had several workouts over the last few weeks trying to be too perfect. We know this team is really good and the only thing that is going to stand in the way is them trying too hard. It was really nice to see them come out and be relaxed. The team looked focused, yet calm. We worked on breathing – that was our word today. Everyone executed that really well tonight.

“Solid start, obviously we left a lot of things out there tonight, but that is to be expected. I couldn’t ask for anything more from tonight. We have something to look forward – getting back into the gym, to keep pushing and to keep that foot on the gas pedal.” – Florida Head Coach Jenny Rowland Vault Bars Beam Floor AA Sierra Alexander 9.775 Alyssa Baumann 9.175 9.900 9.850 Leah Clapper 9.800 Rachel Gowey 9.850 9.950 9.800 Amelia Hundley 9.875 9.825 9.850 Sydney Johnson-Scharpf 9.775 Nya Reed 9.875 9.925 Payton Richards 9.850 9.800 9.825 Savannah Schoenherr 9.800 9.850 Megan Skaggs 9.850 Trinity Thomas 9.825 9.925 9.975 9.975 39.700 49.125 49.350 49.475 49.400 197.350 2020 GATOR GYMNASTICS TEAM RESULTS
