Dressage tests may be called. Riders may use any bit for the dressage element. Martingales are not permitted in dressage. Riders may ride more than one horse or pony, but no horse or pony may go round the course more than once. All horses and ponies must be 5years old and over. HATS: British PAS 015: 1998 or 2011 provided they are BSI kitemarked VG1 01.040: 2014-12 provided they are BSI Kitemarked European VG1 01.040: 2014-12 provided they are BSI Kitemarked American ASTM F1163: 204a or 04a onwards provided they are SEI marked SNELL E2001 Australian & New Zealand AS/NZS 3838: 2006 onwards provided they are SAI global mark. Medical armbands should be worn if not accompanied by an individual. BODY PROTECTORS OF BETA 2009 LEVEL 3 . THEY MUST BE WORN BY ALL COMPETITORS DURING THE CROSS COUNTRY PHASE. AIR JACKETS MUST BE WORN OVER YOUR BODY PROTECTOR. NO FIXED PEAKS FOR XC. JUNIORS MUST WEAR A BODYPROTECTOR FOR SHOWJUMPING.ADULTS ARE STRONGELY ADVISED TO WEAR ONE WHEN SHOWJUMPING. Times will be posted on our website (www.pcuk/org/eastaberdeebshire) - on Wednesday 25th July 2018 Course will be able to walk from 5pm - 28th July 2018 Dressage tests can be found at: http://www.pcuk.org/index.php/sports/dressage/dressage_tests/ Dressage and Show jumping will take place in the morning, XC will start a minimum of an hour after your show jumping class. XC will be a pick-a-fence format, and a mixture of XC fences and WH jumps, for classes 1-3 only. Classes 4-5 Show jumps and WH will be at the stated class height, but penalties will be incurred if jumped in the XC round. Dressage scores will be converted into penalties and SJ and XC penalties added on. Lowest score will be the winner. SJ – knockdown – 4 pens, 1st refusal 4 pens, 2nd refusal 8 pens, 3rd refusal 100 pens. No eliminations but you must move onto the next fence after 3 refusals. First fall of rider, 8 penalties, second fall of rider, Elimination. Fall of horse- Elimination. If eliminated in the SJ you may go on to the XC phase only if you have the permission of the SJ Judge that you are safe to continue (who’s decision is final) XC – for SJ/WH Jumps for Classes 1-3 only knockdown – 4 pens, 1st refusal 4 pens, 2nd refusal 8 pens, 3rd refusal at same fence 100 pens then you must move onto next fence. Elimination only for horse or rider fall. For all classes, rider jumping XC jumps – First refusal/run out 20 penalties, second refusal/run out 40 penalties, third refusal/run out – elimination, jumping alternative WH jump 15 penalties. Elimination only for horse or rider fall. The organisers reserve the right to change any horse or pony into another class if they judge that it has been entered unfairly. Early entry is advisable as numbers will be capped. Refreshments will be available on the day. Dogs must be kept on a short lead at ALL times.
