Georgia Dugout Club Newsletter 2018-2019 I hope your new school year is off to a good start. This newsletter contains a lot of information we can all be extremely proud of, as it relates to our great state, and as a testament to the great job you are doing in your programs. The clinic and membership information is available. I feel that we have plenty of rooms for the clinic at the hotel this year, but make your reservations now - don’t put things off. Rick Howard and all the coordinators did an exceptional job at Mercer with the All State games. There are some changes coming for next year’s games, Rick will let us know at the clinic. Eddie Ashley arranged for an excellent awards banquet at the Methodist Children’s Home, and we are indebted to Craig Gibson at Mercer for inviting us back for the 2019 games. What a beautiful facility. David Smart has moved to a new school but will soon put a list of speakers for the clinic online. Tim Morse does an outstanding job with our website keeping us informed. There are so many coaches in this state who have stepped up and have an active role in making the Georgia Dugout Club the best baseball organization in the USA. If you are new as a head coach or have for some reason not been an active member, then it is an absolute must for your professional growth that you belong to four organizations: 1. The BCA, 2. The ABCA, 3. The GACA, and 4. The Georgia Dugout Club. Each one of these will be of benefit to you as a professional Baseball Coach. Jeff Segars has made the Top 100 into one of the finest showcase events in the country. Not only does it provide our players a chance to be seen by a lot of scouts, but it is so affordable. I want to thank you for allowing me to work with all of you to promote this great game of ours. The relationships this Club has allowed me to enjoy has meant so much.
