(b) if the answer to part (a) above is in affirmative, the details of contents thereof;

(c) the names of Madaris whose registration process has been completed till date; and

(d) the names of Wafaqs in which these Madaris are affiliated?

Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training (Mr. ): (a) Wafaq-ul-Madaris signed an agreement with MoFE&PT on 29 August, 2019 and agreed to get their Madaris registered with Directorate General of Religious Education Islamabad.

(b) Detail contents are placed at Annex-I.

(c) Till date 6300 Madaris have been registered with Directorate General of Religious Education Islamabad

(d) List of 17 registered Wafaqs-ul-Madaris is attached at Annex-II.

Will the Minister for Information and Broadcasting be pleased to state whether it is a fact that the incumbent Government failed to end the deficit of the Television?

Minister for Information and Broadcasting (Mr. Fawad Ahmed): With the concerted efforts of present Management, under the guidance of Govt., PTVC enabled itself to earn Profit for the year 2018-19 & 2019-20 (Prov).

It is stated that the incumbent Government and the present PTV Management inherited accumulated losses of Rs. 11,375.619 million at the beginning of its tenure which have been reduced to Rs. 9,398.399 million. It is stated that the outstanding contingent claims towards FBR are Rs. 6,000 million.

194. *Mr. Naveed Aamir Jeeva:

Will the Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training be pleased to state the names of the countries wherein Government of Pakistan has established educational institutions?

Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training (Mr. Shafqat Mahmood): After 18th constitutional amendment to the constitution, the subject of education has been devolved to provinces & this Ministry has no mandate to open Institutions abroad. In Higher Education Sector no public sector university has been established in the foreign countries. However, four private sector universities have established their offshore campuses in the following countries:

i. Aga Khan University, Karachi (offshore campus at London, UK).

ii. Greenwich University Karachi (offshore campus at Mauritius).

iii. SZABIST, Karachi (offshore campus at Dubai, UAE).

iv. Sarhad University (SUIT) Peshawar (Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE).

195. *Ms. Nafeesa Inayatullah Khan Khattak:

Will the Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training be pleased to state:

(a) whether it is a fact that Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has signed 03 MOUs with education service providers for introduction of STEM Teaching and Blended Learning Programme in selected schools of FDE details;

(b) how STEM teaching will be beneficial for our students?

Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training (Mr. Shafqat Mahmood): (a) FDE under the ambit of M/o FE&PT has initiated to execute the following two projects with a vision to integrate technology in Public Sector Education.

i. Pilot Project for Blended E-Learning in 200 Classrooms of Federal Capital: (Grade I-X). The total allocated capital cost of the project is Rs. 176.663 million with an execution period of two years (24 months). There are 03 components of the project i.e. Primary Components (Grade I-V), Middle Component (Grade VI-VIII) and Secondary Component (Grade IX&X). Contracts are separately awarded to the Solution Providers for each components i.e. Knowledge Platform executing Middle Components at the cost of Rs. 63.440 million. Tele-Taleem executing Secondary Component at the cost Rs. 33.880 million and PTCL & Mera Sabaq Executing Primary Component at the cost of Rs. 62.796 million. The total contract value collectively for all the three components stands at Rs. 160.116 million.

ii. Pilot Project for STEM Teaching Grade (VI-VIII) in 30 schools of FDE (Knowledge Economy Initiatives). The total allocated capital cost of the project is Rs. 99.126 million. Pilot Project for STEM Teaching Grade (VI-VIII) in 30 schools of FDE (Knowledge Economy Initiatives). The total allocated capital cost of the project is Rs. 99.126 million with an execution period of two years (24 months) w.e.f 2021-2023. Contract to a 3rd party solution providers is awarded through a competitive process at the total cost of Rs. 78.187 million.

(b) The intent of Pilot Project for STEM Teaching Grade (VI- VIII) in 30 schools of FDE is to pilot ways in which the services delivery mechanism is evolved from typical classroom setting to include interesting and exciting ways to:

• Promote scientific inquiry. • Develop problem solving skills. • Focus on student‟s analytical abilities. • Fulfil student‟s appetite for student‟s hands on learning.

196. *Moulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali:

Will the Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training be pleased to state:

(a) whether it is a fact that foreign loans and funds have been utilized to reform the education sector;

(b) if so, then provide the province-wise details of the loans utilized since 2010 including for the erstwhile FATA areas; and

(c) the details of achievements obtained in enrolments literacy rate and access to higher education province-wise and less developed areas districts?

Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training (Mr. Shafqat Mahmood): (a) Yes, the foreign loans have been utilized to reform the higher education sector.

(b) The Government of Pakistan (GoP) has signed a credit agreement with the International Development Agency/World Bank for a credit of $ 400 million under a five-year project titled “Higher Education Development in Pakistan” (HEDP) in June 2019. Out of it $ 323 million will be disbursed to the GoP as budgetary support while $ 77 million will be released to the project. So far, an expenditure of PKR 2,351 million has been incurred on public sector universities for various initiatives including, on-line teaching during COVID, research, provision of broad band network, 4-year degree program, trainings, and quality enhancement with the following break up:

Tertiary Education Support Project (TESP) during the September 2012 to June 2017, under this project a credit of $ 323 million was disbursed to the GoP as budgetary support. Whereas, the HEC continued to get routine funding (recurrent & development) from the government during this period.

(c) The detail of enrollments is attached at Annex-I and access to higher education province-wise and district-wise is attached at Annex-II.

197. *Mr. Abdul Qadir Patel:

Will the Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training be pleased to state:

(a) the prescribed teacher student ratio for a permission to start a Ph.D programme in public and private sectors Universities;

(b) whether such ratio is being implemented in letter and spirit at present in both of above sectors Universities;

(c) whether it is a fact that hundreds of Ph.D scholars in the country are jobless at present;

(d) whereas both public and private sectors universities are running short of qualified staff;

(e) if so, the university-wise details of shortage of such academic staff and total number of Ph.D scalars whom record is with HEC are jobless at present;

(f) if so, whether the Government or HEC has taken notice of such un-employed of Ph.D scholars; if so, the details thereof; and

(g) what corrective measures are being taken to fulfill prescribed teacher student ratio in aforesaid universities by giving opportunities of jobs to such jobless Ph.D scholars?

Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training (Mr. Shafqat Mahmood): (a) At least three (3) full-time faculty members having Ph.D degrees in the relevant field are required in the department 8 offering the Ph.D program, and a faculty member holding Ph.D may supervise a maximum of five (5) Ph.D students at a time.

(b) Higher Education Commission (HEC) is striving hard to enhance the quality of education in the Pakistani Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs), for that purpose HEC is following rigorous monitoring mechanisms to ensure implementation of different policies including teacher-students ratio for Ph.D Programs. In this regard up till now 119 HEIs have been visited that include 68 Public Sector Universities and 51 Private Sector Universities. In these 119 HEIs, 869 Ph.D Programs were reviewed out of these 641 programs were meeting the Teacher-student ratio whereas remaining 228 were not meeting the required standards including teacher-student ratio, therefore, these programs were stopped.

(c) HEC established an electronical-portal to compile data of Ph.D degree holders for seeking employment opportunities across the country in August 2018 (http://eportal.hec.gov.pk). A total of six hundred forty two (642) Ph.D scholars registered with HEC. Out of 642 unemployed Ph.Ds, 358 Ph.Ds has been provided jobs opportunities under HEC funded recurring program captioned “Interim Placement of Fresh Ph.Ds Program (IPFP)” as „Assistant Professor‟ for a period of one year against vacant positions at Pakistani Public and Private sector universities across the country. HEC is vigorously supporting those public and private sector universities that have shortage of qualified staff. It is with these relentless efforts by HEC that the Ph.D faculty ratio at Pakistani universities has improve from 20% in 2010 to 32 % in 2020.

(d) Responded in the para (c) above.

(e) A consolidated list containing the names of the University, Sector (Public/Private), Province/Region, Discipline, total number of Ph.D required, total number of Ph.D existing, and Shortage/Surplus of academic staff.

(f) Yes, HEC has perceived and realized the matter of job placement of Ph.D degree holders at universities and introduced a program „IPFP‟ that is being implemented since 2009 for Ph.D scholars. HEC make it sure to place the scholars against sanctioned/available positions at universities. It is expected from host University to provide them opportunity of recruitment on merit during their one year tenure. 9

A total of 4,337 (four thousand three hundred and thirty seven) Ph.Ds have been placed at Pakistani Public and Private Sector Universities across the country under IPFP since 2009 to 2019 against Phase-I of the program and 358 from 2020 to till date in IPFP Phase-II.

Furthermore, HEC & Rozee.pk have partnered together to create a new job portal for Ph.D Scholars. HEC already uploaded the profile information received against „Ph.D databank‟ for un-employed Ph.D scholars that was launched in August 2018.

The jobless Ph.Ds have opportunity to register as an unemployed Ph.D on the e-portal that is being used by the various universities and other organizations of Pakistan for recruitment,

(g) One of the initiatives to support Ph.D holders is that the HEC launches the Interim Placement of Fresh Ph.Ds program to create an opportunity for fresh Ph.Ds to obtain academic experience and mentorship, for one year in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), post- graduate colleges or public sector R&D organizations, prior to their formal entry into the academic job market. IPFP Phase-I was launched in 2009. After completion of IPFP Phase-I, HEC announced the IPFP Phase-II Batch-I on October/ November, 2019 through which 493 PhD holders got training for a period of one month prior to their placements. So far more than 350 out of those 493 Ph.D holders are placed at HEIs as an IPFP Fellow for one year. HEC announced IPFP Phase-II Batch-II on 7th March 2021 again, after a period of approximately one year and 3 months in which more than 1000 Ph.D holders have applied. After scrutiny and pre-assessment test, eligible applicants will get training for a period of one month and one year placements at HEIs.

Note: A total of 224 universities (Public and Private) are in the country. The data from 158 universities/DAIs have been received. The remaining data is being compiled and will be provided shortly.

Will the Minister In-charge of the Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division be pleased to state:

(a) the total annual funds allocated for the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal; and

Minister In-charge of the Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division: (a) An amount of Rs. 6,105.00 million (6 Billion 10 crore and 50 lac rupees) was allocated to Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal for the F.Y. 2020-21.

(b) The details of amount disbursed by the government among poor people during the last year is given below:

PAKISTAN BAIT-UL-MAL:

• An amount of Rs. 3,824.997 million (3 Billion 82 crore 50 lac rupees Approx.) has been disbursed among poor people during the F.Y. 2020-21 under various schemes by PBM.

BENAZIR INCOME SUPPORT PROGRAMME:

• An amount of Rs. 170.427 billion (170 Billion 42 crore 70 lac rupees Approx.) has been disbursed among poor people during the F.Y. 2020-21 under various programmes/ schemes by BISP.

PAKISTAN POVERTY ALLEVIATION FUND:

• An amount of Rs. 25.839 billion (25 Billion 83 crore 90 lac rupees Approx.) has been disbursed among poor people during the F.Y. 2020-21 under various programmes/ schemes by PPAF.

Will the Minister In-charge of the National Security Division be pleased to state:

(a) whether it is a fact that under the Rules of Business, each Division has to prepare Annual Book of performance;

(b) if so, reasons for not preparing such Book, and what action has been taken against the responsible functionaries for such negligence? 11

Minister In-charge of the National Security Division: (a) National Security Division has prepared Annual Book of performance and uploaded on website of NSD nsd.gov.pk as per Rules of Business 25(2).

(b) Not Applicable.

201. *Mr. James Iqbal:

Will the Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training be pleased to state:

(a) the locations where Rest Houses were situated under the administration of Federal Educational Board, Islamabad, alongwith the number of rooms available therein; and

(b) the names of individuals who were accommodated therein by the administration since five years?

Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training (Mr. Shafqat Mahmood): (a) There is only one guest house in the premises of FBISE, H-8/4, Islamabad with total of 10 rooms, consisting of Ground and 1st floor.

(b) The names of individuals who were accommodated therein by the administration since five years are enclosed at Annexure-I.

202. *Dr. Nafisa Shah:

Will the Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training be pleased to state what steps have been taken by the Government to establish the first Federal University or Campus/Branch of University/Institute in Northern Sindh to fulfill the need of the higher education?

Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training (Mr. Shafqat Mahmood): The Federal Government cannot charter a University in any province. After 18th Constitutional Amendment, only a „federal degree awarding institute‟ for „research and education‟ can be established by the Federal Government. Establishment of a new university, within the geographical limits of a province, is the prerogative 12 of the respective Provincial Government. Nonetheless, HEC is initiating a strategic development framework to ascertain requirements of new universities and sub-campuses across the country to assess needs, plan and advise provincial governments accordingly.

However, the following universities are fully operated in Northern Sindh to fulfil the needs of the Higher Education:

1. Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. 2. Sukkur Institute of Business Administration, Sukkur. 3. Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University, Sukkur. 4. Shaheed University of Technology & Skill Development, Khairpur Mirs. 5. Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences, Khairpur Mirs. 6. Peoples University of Medical and Health Sciences for Women, Shaheed Benazirabad. 7. Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Sciences & Technology, Shaheed Benazirabad. 8. Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Shaheed Benazirabad. 9. Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University, Larkana. 10. The Shaikh Ayaz University, Shikarpur.

204. *Ms. Nafeesa Inayatullah Khan Khattak:

Will the Minister In-charge of the Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division be pleased to state:

(a) total number of orphans abandoned children in ICT at present;

(b) the number of orphans and abandoned children out of the same, presently rehabilitated under the Government owned homes/public-private institutions in ICT; and

(c) the procedure/mechanism being adopted by these orphanages for enrolling the deserving orphans? 13

Minister In-charge of the Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division: (a) The data is not available with PBM. ICT-administration is the body to provide such information/ data.

(b) The PBM is running 04 orphanages, named Dar-ul-Ehsaas (DuE) in ICT in which 762 orphan children are residing. Regarding Public-Private orphanages, this Division has no information. However, it can be perhaps obtained from ICT-administration.

(c) Following criteria is being adopted for enrollment of orphan children in the DuE:

 Orphans with following criteria will be enrolled:—

 Orphan without father  Poorest of the poor  Age between 4 to 6 years

 Preferably on the recommendations of Public Representatives/ Parliamentarians/ Government Functionaries/ Notable Social Workers/ Civil Societies as well as PBM Functionaries. They will be allowed to stay until completion of their education/ skill/ adulthood.

 The guardian of an Orphan between 4 to 6 years of age, shall apply for enrollment in Dar-ul-Ehsaas (Orphanage) on prescribed application form along-with copy of requisite documents.

 Applications complete in all respects is submitted to PBM District Officer, in the district concerned.

 PBM will investigate and determine the status of the applicant and forward to PBM Provincial / Regional Office, alongwith his recommendations.

 There shall be an Enrollment Committee in each Provincial / Regional Office to finalize the applications on merit, for enrollment in the concerned Dar-ul-Ehsaas (Orphanage).

 Proper prescribed enrolment form alongwith statement on judicial paper is signed between PBM and the guardians of the children

 Full track record of the children in the DuE is maintained. 14

205. *Dr. Nafisa Shah:

Will the Minister In-charge of the Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division be pleased to state:

(a) what steps have been taken by the Government to include one million people of Sindh in Benazir Income Support Programme, who could not join the BISP earlier due to lack of CNICs; and

(b) the time by which aforesaid people will be included in said programme to get benefit?

(a) whether it is a fact that the poverty has increased during the present regime; if so, the reasons thereof; and

(b) what steps are being taken by the Government in this regard?

Minister In-charge of the Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division: (a) This part of question relate to Ministry of Planning Development & Special Initiatives

(b) Following steps are being taken by the Government to alleviate poverty from the country:—

BENAZIR INCOME SUPPORT PROGRAMME:

Ehsaas Kafaalat (UCT) programme:

• Under Ehsaas Kafaalat programme, the Federal Government has increased the amount of quarterly stipend from Rs.5,000/- per beneficiary to Rs.6,000/- per beneficiary w.e.f. January, 2020.

• The Federal Government has also decided to increase the number of Kafaalat beneficiaries from around 05 million (50 Lacs) to 07 million (70 Lacs). The number of beneficiaries is expected to be further increased to 08 million (80 Lacs) by end of current year.

• Federal Government launched Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program (EECP) in April, 2020 to help poor families affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic. Under this programme, an amount of Rs. 180 billion (180 Arab) approximately has been disbursed to around 14.9 million (01 Crore 49 Lacs) beneficiaries @ Rs, 12,000/- per beneficiary. Federal Government has also launched Phase-2 of EECP due to ongoing situation of Corona-virus Pandemic. 16

Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Program:

• To ensure access of qualified students from low-income families to undergraduate education regardless of income, gender, or location, the BISP has launched Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Project (EUSP) which is being 17

implemented by Higher Education Commission (HEC). Its salient features are as under:

• 50% scholarships are reserved for females.

• 2% scholarships are reserved for students with different abilities.

• Scholarships are given in All Disciplines of study.

• Scholarships are given for any regular 4-5 years UG degree Program.

• (Student enrolled in any year /semester were eligible to apply)

• 129 public sector universities are included in Scholarship Programme.

• Scholarship covers Tuition Fee including mandatory academic charges and living allowance @ Rs.40,000 per annum.

Status in F.Y. 2019-20:

• Number of Scholarship Awarded in F.Y. 2019-20: 50,762

• Budget Released in F.Y. 2019-20: Rs.4.8 Billion (04 Arab, 80 Crore)

Status in F.Y. 2020-21:

• Scholarship Awarded in F.Y. 2020-21: 92,003 (including awardees of previous year)

• Each Panahgah has the capacity of overnight stay for 100 persons and 400 persons are provided with hygienic meals two-time daily.

• To date, 2206549 beneficiaries have been benefited from Panahgahs in which 132927 have been provided shelter.

Ehsaas Koi Bhooka Na Soye:

• Mobile service for provision two-time hygienic packed food to needy individuals of food to the poor needy persons near to their doorsteps.

• Currently, 12 Mobile Units in urban and rural areas of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad and Peshawar, on different routes.

• Each Mobile Unit provides food to 1000 needy individuals on first come first serve is observed.

• To date, 704269 beneficiaries have been provided free meals.

Ehsaas Kada:

• Presently it is established in Lahore only and 42 persons are being provided with well-furnished accommodation, food, Clothing and medical facilities in this center.

Women Empowerment Centers (WECs):

• Currently, 160 WECs are functional countrywide where women are trained in various professional skills, detail is as under:-

• 120 trainees /WEC are trained in each session (bi annually)

• Currently, 13231 trainees are under training in WECs.

• Since inception, 210396 women have been successfully passed out of WECs.

Orphans and Widows Support Programme (OWSP):

• Under this program:-

• A payment of Rs.8,000/- is made to the families having one school/ college/ university going female orphan; and

• A payment of Rs.12,000/- to the families having two or more school / college/ university going orphans (one girl at least).

• 100 families with orphan girls have been enrolled from each Province/ Region initially on the basis of BISP poverty score card (Approx. 700 to 1000 families will be assisted during the pilot phase).

• Until the quarter ending on March 2021, Rs.6,672,000/- have been distributed among 244 families.

Dar-ul-Ehsaas (DuE):

• The State sponsored institutional care started in 2009 for under privileged orphans.

• Each Centre accommodates 100 orphans aging 4-6 years Currently, 51 DuE centers are functional countrywide, detail is as under:-

• At present, 4100 children are being enrolled in the DuE centers.

PBM Schools for Rehabilitation of Child Labour (SRCLS):-

• The children involved in child labor are enrolled in these schools for free education up to primary level.

• Free books, stationery, uniform / shoes and daily stipend of Rs. 10/ child on attendance basis alongwith payment of parents‟ subsistence allowance of Rs. 300.

• Currently, 159 SRCLs are functional countrywide, detail is as under;

• PBM has recently started enrolment of 30 street children in SRCLs of Provincial/Regional headquarters on pilot basis.

Individual Financial Assistance (IFA) Medical:

• Up to Rs.100,00,000/- (1 Crore) are given to the indigent sick persons for the treatment of fatal diseases related to liver, kidney, heart, lungs etc. through government hospitals.

• During the last three years, the 60701 patients have been provided medical assistance for treatment of diseases with the budget of Rs.7,666,485,183/- (7 billion 66 crore and 65 lac Approx.).

Education:

• IFA (Education) up to Rs.100,000/- (1 lac) per student/ year is provided to the brilliant / deserving students of the public sector institutions.

• Approximately 5,000 students are getting this facility every year. 21

• During the last three years, the 15457 students have been provided education stipend with the budget of Rs.431,627,058/- (13 Crore 16 lac Approx.).

Assistive Devices for Person with Disabilities (PWD’s):

• Assistive devices including ordinary wheel chairs, customized wheel chairs, artificial limbs, artificial knee caps, hearing devices etc. are provided to the needy patients.

• During the last three years, 2100 Customized wheel chairs and 4500 standard wheel chairs have been distributed all over the country.

Cochlear Implant:

• This is a new initiative by PBM which started in 2020 and is in the pilot phase. So far, 118 patients have been provided with the said facility.

Special Friend Project (SFP):

• Under this project, a payment of Rs.10,000 is made to the family with one PWD and Rs.25,000 to the family with two or more PWDs.

• During the last three years, 12783 PWDs have been provided financial assistance with the budget of Rs. 151,900,712/- (15 crore 19 lac Approx.).

PAKISTAN POVERTY ALLEVIATION FUND:

The details of PPAF Ehsaas Interest Free Loan (IFL) and Ehsaas Amdan Program are as under:-

• Under Interest Free Loan, so far, an amount of Rs.50.46 billion (50 billion 46 Crore) has been disbursed to 1,416,058 deserving people.

• Under Ehsaas Amdan Program, 61,066 assets have been distributed amounting to Rs.3.66 billion (3 billion, 66 crore) to the needy people.

208. *Syed Agha Rafiullah:

Will the Minister for Aviation Division be pleased to state:

(a) whether Government has taken notice of various alleged irregularities that amounts to corrupt practices of the Director General, Civil Aviation Authority, such irregularities includes appointment of a flight surgeon, who is incapacitated due to hearing loss concealing of an adverse report of International Civil Aviation Organization about CAA’s flight inspector for simulator testing of a pilot and etc;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) what corrective measures are being taken by the Government, as not only to fix such irregularities but also hold accountable responsible including DG, CAA, if found involved in such irregularities at an earliest?

Will the Minister for Aviation Division be pleased to state:

(a) whether it is a fact that Airport Security Force has recently recruited hundreds of personnel and deputed them on duties at various airports without proper training from ASF Training School;

(b) if so, deputing of such personnel on duty is tantamount to jeopardize the lives of people that visit airports and public’s assets;

(c) if so, whether the Ministry has taken the action not only to hold accountable responsible who deputed aforesaid personnel on duty without proper training but also have failed to ensure the training of such appointees; 23

(d) if so, the details thereof; if not, the reasons thereof;

(e) whether it is also a fact that there are reports of alleged tussle or dispute between Ministry and ASF’s Headquarter Authorities on the matter of aforesaid recruitment and matter ancillary thereto;

(f) if yes, the details thereof; and

(g) what corrective steps or action is being taken by the Government in this regard?

Will the Minister In-charge of the Cabinet Division be pleased to state:

(a) the number of gazetted officers those have applied for the loans for Housing programme under Mera Ghar, Mera Pakistan in Islamabad, alongwith their names, date of applications and amount of loan individually;

(b) the number of officers to whom loan has been granted alongwith the each officer's name and details of amount so far;

(c) whether it is a fact that the loans were not issued to some officers;

(d) if so, the reasons thereof; and

(e) the time by which the loan will be sanctioned/issued?

Minister In-charge of the Cabinet Division: (a) & (b) SBP does not maintain the category wise individual data of customers availing housing finance under Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar Scheme.

(c), (d) & (e) There may be instances where banks have rejected loans of individuals purely on the basis of their risk assessment criteria. State Bank does not interfere into commercial decisions of banks. However, State Bank has established a complaint resolution mechanism to facilitate applicants who face undue delays or difficulties in availing financing under the Scheme. A country-wide network of focal persons of 2

State Bank and commercial banks proactively take up complaints registered in the portal for resolution of issues of complaints. The portal may be accessed at the link given below:

Will the Minister In-charge of the Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division be pleased to refer to the Starred Question No.75 replied on 24-5-2021 and to state the total amount available under the head of corona funds in Pakistan at present?

Minister In-charge of the Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division: As of 2nd August, 2021, an amount of Rs. 109 million (10 crore 90 lacs Approx.) is available in the pandemic (Corona) relief Fund.
