Getting there Bawdrip is just off the main A39 road approximately 3 miles from .

Route instructions [1] Leave with church on your left hand side and follow road out of village taking the same route as the drive in. After passing under old railway bridge continue uphill to reach A39 where turn right and proceed a short distance to be opposite a footpath on far side of the road. Cross A39 with care (very busy here) and join and walk up footpath which soon bears sharp right and then in approx. 200yds bears sharp left. Then proceed across fields to reach Bitham Lane. Turn left and follow lane which crosses minor road at Three Corner Batch and then proceeds onwards to cross A39 at top of Hill.

[2] After crossing A39 (again cross with care as very busy and cars travel fast here as speed limit is 60mph) path descends to reach edge of where a left turn is made to walk along edge of slip road joining motorway at Junction 23. The path quickly reaches the edge of King’s Sedgemoor Drain where another left turn is made onto a path running alongside Drain. The traffic noise is very loud here but it dies down as the path leads away. The path eventually reaches a small car park by the side of the A39.

[3] Exit the car park onto the A39 and walk along its right hand side to the Silver Fish junction now controlled by traffic lights. Here turn right and cross King’s Sedgemoor Drain using the road bridge. Immediately after crossing bridge turn left and cross road (take care) to reach a gate giving access to a path running along the right hand bank of the Drain. Follow path until it reaches a road at Bradney Bridge. Turn left over bridge and follow road which shortly leads into Bawdrip where turn first right to return to church and parked cars.
