1. Z.E.K. Crew Exhibition at the Embassy About the Exhibition: The works have been printed on lenticular panels that give the illusion of animation to otherwise static images. The concept could be best described as interactive pictures or dynamic posters. The principle of animation has been translated into an analogue medium; in this way, it creates a story inside the poster. Show will be on display until June 15.

2. A festival of Innovative Dance from Slovenia, Serbia and Croatia

Fromi May 26 to May 29, Dixon Place in New York (161A Chrystie Street, NY 10002) will host the X-YU Festival, curated and produced by Ivan Talijančič from WaxFactory. The festival will include the American premieres of three inter-disciplinary dance pieces created by genre-bending choreographers Maja Delak, Matija Ferlin and Dalija Aćin. As described by curator Ivan Talijančič, X-YU was created to give American audiences a taste of the innovative work emerging from this European region: “these choreographers have been pushing disciplinary boundaries to expand the definition of dance”. The X-YU Festival is the result of a partnership between WaxFactory, Dixon Place and Dance NewAmsterdam. The choreographers and their works will be featured for the first time in the United States through this exciting cultural exchange.

All performances will take place at Dixon Place (161A Chrystie Street, NY 10002 ) in rotating repertory. The festival will begin on May 26 at 7:00pm.
