Whoa! Is it really New Year’s Day? 2018 was a blur. I can’t believe its been a year since I last sat down at my computer and refected on what happened. I can tell you that 2018 was a banner year for both the company and myself. I am in awe of all that has been accomplished and the strength and loyalty that you have shown to our brand. I am blessed beyond measure.

Our 2018, although it was just as frantic and scattered as the last 4 years, was made up of some great milestones. First, we have survived another year of challenges, some of which were beyond what other companies could bear. We have expanded our team yet again this year. We have even more people that have been made responsible for helping us deliver the best product available. With that in mind, we are also accountable to those additional families to provide for their needs. Finally, as we think about family, we have added a number of additional dealers to our network who have really done a fantastic job of expanding the reach of our product as well as that of our story. We appreciate them all.

To the theme of this year’s product catalog, “By Design.” The precceding 4 years have been flled with risk and uncertainty, but each and every decision that we have made along the way has been made with care and consideration, but more than that, with intention. We, as a company, continue to step in a direction that carries us toward the ultimate goal of being the preeminent fshing rod manufacturer in the United States of America. By design, we have arrived at this place, short of the objective yet we’ve only begun the journey.

So here we are turning on to the front straight of year 5. It has been another year of growth. From the frst day that I accepted the keys to the front door of our facility to now, we have always topped our previous year by double digit growth. Not simply in revenue but in productivity as well. It has been amazing to watch and even more amazing to have participated in it. It is a testament to the skill of our team, as well as the vision for what can be.

Here’s to you! We are humbled by the adoration you show toward United Composites USA. As you believe in us, we believe in you. You. Our friends. Our family. We are thankful for your support and hope to continue, what has become our tradition of providing you an incredible product to make your fshing dreams a reality!

Sincerely,

Randy Penny

Zeus – “The God of Sky, Thunder, and ruler of the Olympians.” It is said that Zeus was the greatest of the Greek Gods. The same could be said about the Zeus line of deep jigging blanks. In the traditional realm of deep jigging, there are likely no other blanks better suited for the battles waged against trophy size game fish. The Zeus lineup has a variety of actions for the discerning jig . Unlike other jigging blanks on the market, the Zeus line is made up of models specific to certain sizes and styles of jigs. They are typically for the Pedro Gerardo Lopez larger size jigs and have the power to not only move the jigs and employ the correct actions, but also to dominate the fish and not Yann Savall the fisherman. These blanks are designed with moderate actions, significant back-bone, and are short in overall length to maximize the leverage an angler can put on a fish. All Zeus blanks are composite in construction and because of this have extraordinary durability and strength. Line Lure Max Model Length Action Rating Weight Drag Tip Butt MSRP

SurfaceIron.Com aka S.I.C. is a community of fshermen and women who love catching fsh on a variety of lures designed to slowly undulate just below the surface of the water, made of materials from bone to brass, that are meticulously shaped by jig artisans, which are retrieved at just the right speed in order to entice nearby gamefsh into savagely striking these man-made imitations of forage.

Now that may sound like a massive run-on sentence but in reality, it is the embodiment of what makes jig fshing an art form. It takes us from the idea, to the process, to the fshing and catching all in one mouth full. This is the premise on which this site was built upon. As you peruse the content posted, you will fnd everything from jig production to jig selection to a historical database of some of the innovators in jig fshing along with some of the most well-known and most talented jig fshermen of today. You will fnd how-to articles on how and when to fsh a jig. You will be provided with tutorial videos on how to properly cast a jig and how each “Jig Stick” may not be created equal. You will also fnd the reasons why certain reels are favored over others when it comes to fshing a jig. There will also be articles covering the diferences between fshing “Yo-Yo” jigs vs. Surface Iron. Most of which has to do with the gear you use and why. Manufacturer profles with interviews of the owners of the companies and what drives them to continue producing new product and innovating.

Finally, S.I.C. brand jigs will also be available but only through this site. There are a select number of designs that have made it to the S.I.C. table. You’ll fnd #’s 1-6 available now and more to come. These jigs are limited in their production and will not be ofered to the local tackle stores for distribution.
