Iron Man Jo Dawkins @FIUMensSoccer Dating back to the second overtime period against Marshall on Sept. 23, 2011, FIU defender Jo Dawkins has played 1,800 consecutive minutes for the Panthers. In his career, he has played in 4,327 minutes, second to only Anthony Hobbs who has played 5,477 career minutes in an FIU uniform. FIU Men’s Soccer History in the Making The FIU men’s soccer team started the season 5-0-0, its best start to a season in 25 years. The @FIUAthletics last time the Panthers started a season 5-0-0 was in 1987, FIU’s first year of Division I athletics.

New Season, New Attitude FIU Athletics Eleven games into the season, FIU has already eclipsed its win total of five from last year. The Panthers sit at 6-3-2 heading into their match against the Howard Bison. FIU’s six wins are the third most overall by a Panthers squad since joining Conference USA in 2005. They earned their sixth win only eight games into the season. FIUPanthers NOT On The Road ... Again The Panthers return home for only the fourth time this season after playing eight of their first 10 games on the road. This year, FIU has a 5-2-1 record when playing away from the friendly confines of FIU Soccer Stadium. They are 1-1-1 at home.

Practice, which is held at the FIU Soccer Sta- diu, or practice field and is open to the media to film and photograph for a predetermined length of time. Interviews conducted follow- ing practice should be held to a brief Q&A ses- sion. With advanced notice, interviews with players may be arranged for other hours.

Calling players at home or on cell phones without permission from SID Mat Ratner will not be tolerated. The players’ dorms, training room and weight room are also off limits.

On game days, players are unavailable un- til after the game. While on the road, head coach Kenny Arena, his staff and players are accessible for interviews, but all interviews should be arranged through Mat Ratner.
