Directions You'll find the circuit 10 miles north-east of on the A11 from London to Norwich. Coming from the south, leave the M11 at junction 9 and follow the A11. From the north or west, use the M11/A11 and join the A11 after Newmarket. Care if using Sat Nav – it may try to take you around the back of the circuit. Keep an eye out for road signs.

Paddock The MZs pitch outside of the main paddock in Paddock 2.

Enter the circuit, go over a bridge (over the track) and turn right. On the left hand side of the long straight road you will see a toilet block. MZs pitch opposite this, on the grassy area on the right hand side of the road. This area is backed by a wire fence, handy if you have a pop up awning as Snetterton can be particularly windy.

You don’t have to pitch near other MZedders but you’ll be less likely to miss Circuit Announcements. This is particularly important at Snetterton when you won’t be near to a tannoy speaker. There will also be someone close by to show you the ropes and answer any questions.

Electricity & Water There is no electric hook up at Snetterton. You will need to have a generator for power.

There are a couple of water standpipes along the wire fence (new for June 2011). There is also a standpipe near the toilet block; to the right hand side, on the gravel, near to the road and fence.

Ablutions There is a toilet block opposite. The showers are in the main paddock.

Food & Drink Tyrrells Bar & Restaurant serves hot food and sandwiches. It’s open all 3 days until late. There is also normally a burger van by the toilet block. MZedders mix and match between bringing their own food and drink and going to Tyrrells.

Camping There is plenty of space to camp in the area where we pitch and also in the field behind.

Other Accommodation It’s advisable to try to stay on the circuit due to the early starts – plus it’s more fun. If you do need to stay elsewhere the Snetterton official circuit website has a list of nearby B&B’s etc. Sharing an awning or leaving a van at the circuit can help to reserve a spot near other MZedders. Speak to other riders on the Forum for advice.

Technical Inspection (Scruitineering) Takes place at the far end of the Paddock, down towards the track. Normally open from late Friday afternoon, listen out for Circuit Announcements.

Signing On Takes place at the Paddock Office which is near to the Technical Inspection area.

Noise Testing Takes place in the Technical Inspection area.

Collection Area The Collection Area can be seen from the MZ paddock. Entry into the Collection Area is from the main paddock.

Paddock Services Some motorbike products and services are available to buy in the paddock, including spare tyres and tyre fitting. They can only carry a limited stock of items so it’s always best to carry some spares and don’t be afraid to ask other MZedders. A&R Racing will sometimes be able to order and bring spares and tyres with them if given enough notice. Tel 01749 672890. www.arracing.co.uk
